Das Unternehmen wurde 1995 als „PEM Technologiegesellschaft mbH“ gegründet. 2003 kam zudem die PEMTec SNC, mit Standort Forbach in Frankreich, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur deutschen Grenze, als Entwicklungs- und Produktionsstandort hinzu. Der PEMTec-Hauptsitz ist heute in Trier-Konz. Seit 2007 werden weltweit Applikationszentren ins Leben gerufen. Wir sind international ausgerichtet und agieren weltweit. Das PECM-Verfahren und die Technologie haben wir weiterentwickelt und wir nennen es einfach „Pemmen“. Inzwischen ist das Pemmen® ein fester Begriff für die Technologie und für uns deshalb absolut schützenswert. Von Anfang an hatten wir ein bestimmtes Ziel vor Augen: Wir wollten die PECM-Technologie weiterentwickeln, verbessern, bis hin zur Produktion von Standard-Maschinen. Dabei spornten uns die immer weiter steigenden Anforderungen an Form und Qualität der zu produzierenden Werkstücke an. Wie beflügelnd dieser Ansporn war, zeigt sich darin, dass wir heute einer der Technologieführer auf diesem Gebiet sind. Mit von PEMTec produzierten Maschinen werden heute Teile für die Automobilindustrie, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Medizintechnik sowie Münzprägetechnik hergestellt. Wir sind innovativ, bewegen uns im µm-Bereich und selbstverständlich ist unsere komplette Fertigungstechnik QS-überwacht, TÜV-geprüft und die PEMTec SNC nach DIN EN ISO 9001 zertifiziert.

Your machining process is done. But the real work has just begun.
Burrs are an inevitable byproduct of mechanical machining, whether milling, turning or drilling. They require additional deburring steps, which add time, cost and risk to your production.

What if you could eliminate burrs at the source without adding a single step?
PECM (Precise ElectroChemical Machining) dissolves material electrochemically, without mechanical contact. The result: clean, sharp edges, even in complex geometries. No secondary deburring operations. No extra tools or labor. Just consistent, burr-free parts, regardless of batch size or material hardness.

The workpiece is shaped by anodic dissolution in an electrolyte. The cathode defines the geometry, while the electrolyte flushes away dissolved material. No cutting forces, no burrs.

Edge quality achieves typical radii of around 10 µm, with less than 1 µm possible for specialized applications. It works on titanium, nickel alloys, hardened steels and other difficult-to-machine metals. Most importantly, it is effective for internal features, cross-holes and micro-structures where mechanical deburring fails.
