Meet Lionel!

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Lionel Vaschetto as onboard foreman at Nautech Group Shipyard

Lionel has a truly unique and inspiring background. He has been working in the oil & gas industry as a commercial diver, but also in nuclear power plants. He took his expertise around the globe as a freelancer, developing a deep understanding of complex industrial environments, before returning to La Ciotat, near Cassis, where he was born.

For the past two years, he has been a key player for the Nautech team, and this new position is a natural continuation of his commitment and performance.

As onboard foreman, Lionel oversees yacht refit works, ensuring coordination across teams and subcontractors on site. His areas of expertise include confined space operations, metal works, and work at height.

Outside of work, Lionel is known for his curiosity and passion for life — and recently welcomed a new source of joy: his granddaughter.

We are pleased to announce that Nicolas Langlois has joined our team as junior project manager!

Native of southern France, Nicolas brings valuable experience in project management within the naval and maritime sectors, having worked with organizations such as Naval Group, Corsica Linea, and recently Nautech Group Shipyard as a trainee. His expertise covers project planning and supervision, cost and quality management, and the coordination of technical operations.

He’s just completed an MBA in project management at MBway Lyon, building on his previous studies in mechanical engineering and naval industry management. His not-so-secret passion: repairing all kinds of wheeled vehicles!

Beyond his technical skills, Nicolas brings professionalism, determination, and a collaborative mindset, qualities that make him a great fit for our team.

Fair winds and following seas to this 46.8m expedition yacht built by Cantiere delle Marche! A few days ago, we had the pleasure of waving her goodbye, as she freshly got out of our La Ciotat facilities after a successful refit period.

A huge thank you to the owner for her trust, to the yacht’s captain and crew for their collaboration and professionalism throughout the process. Also to Chantiers Navals de La Ciotat for their assistance in the maneuver. And of course, hats off to our incredible in-house teams and trusted partners who brought their expertise, dedication, and attention to detail to every step of the work, under the direction of project manager Julien Teillard and assistant project manager Christophe Delahaye.

We wish all onboard a smooth and exciting season ahead -may the seas be calm and the adventures memorable!

At Nautech Group Shipyard, we are proud to showcase one of our latest achievements: the design and construction of a brand-new flybridge hardtop for a stunning 43.5m Heesen Yachts motor yacht, currently undergoing major maintenance at our La Ciotat facilities.

This was a technically demanding project requiring creativity, precision, and teamwork — from concept and structural integration to flawless finishing. We closely worked in collaboration with the captain, crew and Jeremy Stolf to achieve this remarkable outcome.

A huge thank you to them and all the teams involved in bringing this custom solution to life, led by: Senior Project Manager Christophe Blachère and Assistant Project Manager Nicolas Langlois
