Our 25+ years of experience in the field of space cameras, coupled with optoelectronic expertise and extensive resources led us to develop cameras for a wide range of missions & needs.

From multi-mission cameras to specifically designed cameras, Soderns offers high-end space cameras adapted to all missions (space surveillance, inspection, rendez-vous & navigation) from LEO to GEO.

Most recently, Sodern developed navigation cameras for the European (NASA) and (NASA/ESA) missions. The latter, used in order to return Martian samples to Earth, is capable of detecting a twenty-centimeter capsule close to the Martian atmosphere at a distance of over 3,000 km.

Whatever the mission, Sodern develops and produces customized space camera solutions.

Nous sommes très heureux d’annoncer la nomination de Vincent Dedieu en tant que Président-Directeur Général. Il succède à Franck Poirrier qui a présidé Sodern pendant 19 ans.
Ingénieur en Chef de l’Armement, membre du comité exécutif de Sodern depuis 2016 et Directeur des Opérations depuis 2018, Vincent Dedieu connait très bien l’entreprise et maîtrise ses enjeux industriels et commerciaux.
Tout en répondant avec excellence aux besoins de la souveraineté nationale, Sodern est déterminé à mettre son savoir-faire au service des acteurs institutionnels et privés du spatial, ainsi que du secteur minier.
Vincent Dedieu a pour mission de poursuivre le développement de Sodern en pérennisant l’entreprise via ce modèle d’équipementier dual et en accélérant sa croissance sur des marchés porteurs.
Comme suite à cette prise de fonction, Jean-Marc Espinasse est nommé Directeur Général Adjoint et Directeur des Opérations. Jean-Marc Espinasse a rejoint Sodern en 2019 en tant que Directeur de la Stratégie et de l’Innovation, après 13 années passées au sein de la DGA.



We are delighted to announce the appointment of Vincent Dedieu as Chairman and CEO of Sodern. He succeeds Franck Poirrier, who chaired the company for 19 years.
Armament chief engineer, member of Sodern's Executive Committee since 2016, and Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2018, Vincent Dedieu knows the company very well and has a thorough grasp of its industrial and commercial challenges.
Sodern is determined to put its know-how at the service of institutional and private clients in the space and mining industries, while maintaining standards of excellence regarding national sovereignty requirements.
Vincent Dedieu's mission is to pursue Sodern's development by ensuring the company's long-term viability as a dual-role equipment supplier, and by accelerating its growth in rapidly developing markets.
Following Vincent Dedieu’s appointment, Jean-Marc Espinasse has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2019, Jean-Marc Espinasse joined Sodern as director of strategy and innovation, after having spent 13 years with the DGA, the French government procurement and technology agency.

Hydra Access is a standardized and simplified version of the Hydra-CP high performance star tracker in terms of testing and integration. It is designed, manufactured and tested with improved productivity throughout the new manufacturing chain process and optimized production cost. Hydra Access, as part of Hydra family, is designed to meet the highest requirements in terms of precision and robustness and is specifically addressing the needs of newspace companies willing to move upmarket with more precise attitude control. Offering exceptional quality and resilience, Hydra star trackers are on board major institutional and scientific missions, as well as on telecommunication and observation satellites. In short, Hydra Access is more efficient, less expensive and available off-the-shelf.
