Ligne 15 Ouest Sud du Grand Paris Express : le tunnelier Yandé franchit les 1 000 mètres sous La Défense !

Fin juillet, Yandé a atteint le cap symbolique des 1 000 mètres creusés depuis son départ de Nanterre La Folie en décembre 2025.
Après avoir franchi notamment le RER A, le RER E et l'A14, le tunnelier poursuit sa progression vers Courbevoie, avec encore plus de 3 km à parcourir.

De l'autre côté de la Seine, le tunnelier Tiphaine poursuit également son avancée et bénéficie actuellement d'un arrêt technique pour intégrer deux nouvelles sections.

👏 Félicitations aux équipes tunnel et génie civil pour leur engagement quotidien au service de ce projet majeur pour les mobilités franciliennes.

Line 15 West-South of the Grand Paris Express: The Yandé tunnel boring machine has passed the 1,000-meter mark beneath La Défense!

In late July, Yandé reached the symbolic milestone of 1,000 meters excavated since its departure from Nanterre La Folie in December 2025.

After passing under the RER A, RER E, and A14, among others, the tunnel boring machine continues its progress toward Courbevoie, with more than 3 km still to go.

On the other side of the Seine, the Tiphaine tunnel boring machine is also making headway and is currently undergoing a technical stop to integrate two new sections.

👏 Congratulations to the tunnel and civil engineering teams for their daily dedication to this major project for mobility in the Île-de-France region.

À Springbank, Canada, la biodiversité a guidé chaque décision

Et si la biodiversité devenait une boussole essentielle, à chaque étape du projet ? C'est tout le sens de la « bionécessité » : traiter le vivant non comme une simple obligation réglementaire, mais comme une condition de réussite du projet, au même titre que la sécurité ou les délais. Sur le projet Springbank, au Canada, ce principe a guidé chaque décision.

Sur un projet, protéger les équipes, c'est aussi s’assurer que chacun soit dans les bonnes conditions pour assurer ses missions.

Pour Hélène Roulet, responsable technique Puits sur le chantier du Tunnel Euralpin Lyon-Turin, la santé mentale est une composante essentielle de la culture sécurité. Une démarche qui change la façon dont on parle de risque et de prévention.

Ligne 15 Ouest Sud du Grand Paris Express : trois étapes majeures franchies en ce début d'été

➡️ À Nanterre La Folie, les terrassements sont terminés : c'est la première gare de la ligne entièrement excavée. Dix-huit mois de travaux avec 170 000 m³ de déblais évacués. Place désormais au génie civil.
➡️ À La Défense, l'un des sites les plus complexes du projet : une gare à glisser dans un enchevêtrement de réseaux et d'infrastructures existants, près de deux ans de dévoiements de voiries s'achèvent. Prochaine étape dès début août : les parois moulées de la boîte gare.
➡️ Sur les ouvrages de service de Suresnes et Rueil-Malmaison, les travaux spéciaux se terminent en milieu très contraint, avec une foreuse électrique pour limiter le bruit et les émissions. Le terrassement des ouvrages est lancé.

Et derrière chaque étape, des femmes et des hommes qui contribuent à concevoir et réaliser le Grand Paris de demain. Bravo à eux !

Line 15 West-South of the Grand Paris Express: Three Major Milestones Reached at the Start of Summer

➡️ At Nanterre La Folie, excavation work is complete: this is the first station on the line to be fully excavated. Eighteen months of work resulted in the removal of 170,000 m³ of excavated material. Civil engineering work can now begin.
➡️ At La Défense, one of the project’s most complex sites—where a station must be built amid a tangle of existing networks and infrastructure—nearly two years of road diversion works are coming to an end. The next phase, beginning in early August, will involve constructing the diaphragm walls for the station box.
➡️ At the service structures in Suresnes and Rueil-Malmaison, specialist works are nearing completion in a highly constrained environment, using an electric drilling rig to reduce noise and emissions. Excavation work on the structures is now under way.

And behind every milestone are the women and men who are helping to design and build the Grand Paris of tomorrow. Congratulations to them all!

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel : le projet accélère

Plusieurs jalons majeurs franchis sur le chantier du Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) en Virginie :
➡️ Installation des panneaux de protection incendie destinés aux nouveaux tunnels jumelés
➡️ Recyclage des matériaux issus du démantèlement d’anciens ponts sur pilotis en récifs artificiels dans la baie de Chesapeake
➡️ Achèvement de la première salle électrique sur l’île sud, avant l’installation des équipements prévue à l’automne. Sur l’île nord, le second bâtiment de ventilation est désormais en construction
➡️ Déviation des câbles moyenne tension sous les viaducs en mer, permettant d’engager leur phase finale de réalisation

Au-delà de l'exploit technique, ce projet illustre une approche intégrée alliant excellence opérationnelle, innovation et performance environnementale.

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel: Project Gains Momentum

Several major milestones have recently been achieved on the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) project in Virginia:
➡️ Installation of fire protection panels for the new twin tunnels
➡️ Recycling of materials from the dismantling of former trestle bridges into artificial reefs in the Chesapeake Bay
➡️ Completion of the first electrical building on the South Island, ahead of equipment installation scheduled for the autumn. Construction of the second ventilation building is now underway on the North Island
➡️ Diversion of medium-voltage cables beneath the marine viaducts, enabling the project to enter its final construction phase

Beyond its technical achievement, this project demonstrates an integrated approach that combines operational excellence, innovation and environmental performance.

🎓 Des salles de classe aux chantiers : bienvenue dans les métiers de l'ingénierie 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

À l'occasion des stages de seconde, nous avons eu le plaisir d'accueillir 29 lycéens pour leur faire découvrir nos métiers et partager notre passion de l'ingénierie.

Deux programmes leur étaient proposés :
➡️ Les Juniors Bâtisseurs, porté par la direction de l'ingénierie et des moyens techniques (DIMT), qui a permis aux élèves de découvrir les coulisses de nos métiers techniques et de vivre une première expérience au plus près de nos équipes.
➡️ Dans la peau d'une ingénieure, initiative proposée en partenariat avec l'École Polytechnique Féminine, spécialement conçue pour encourager les jeunes femmes à envisager une carrière dans l'ingénierie.

Au menu : découverte de l'ensemble de nos métiers techniques, cas pratiques, visite du chantier de la Ligne 15 Ouest Sud du Grand Paris Express, ateliers sur la place des femmes dans nos métiers et échanges avec nos équipes.

Une immersion concrète pour mieux comprendre la richesse et la diversité de nos métiers.

🎓 From the classroom to the construction site: welcome to the world of engineering 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

As part of the Year 10 work experience placements, we were delighted to welcome 29 secondary school students to discover our professions and share our passion for engineering.

They could choose from two programmes:
➡️ Junior Builders, led by our Engineering and Technical Resources Department, which gave students the opportunity to go behind the scenes of our technical professions and gain first-hand experience alongside our teams.
➡️ A Day in the Life of a Female Engineer, an initiative delivered in partnership with the École Polytechnique Féminine, designed specifically to encourage young women to consider a career in engineering.

The programmes included an introduction to our full range of technical professions, hands-on activities, a visit to the Grand Paris Express Line 15 West South construction site, workshops exploring the role of women in engineering, and discussions with our teams.

A practical immersion that gave students a real insight into the diversity and richness of careers in engineering.
