🆕 EGM Secures 7-Year Charter with Equinor for 4 Advanced Hybrid Tankers with OceanWings® Wingsails

We are delighted to be taking part of this landmark agreement, which aims at revolutionizing the Medium-Range (MR) Tanker fleet with this 7-year charter of Equinor for 4 advanced hybrid battery and dual-fuel methanol tankers.

In this context, AYRO has been selected to supply two ® per vessel to deliver double-digit for a cleaner and more industry. AYRO’s OceanWings® have been selected for their excellent thrust-to-weight ratio and payback. AYRO is delighted to participate in the next BlueForum, an initiative of MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) to promote the smart and sustainable use of environmental resources in the maritime sector.

Our Performance Prediction and Analysis Manager, Brendan Guillouzouic will give a talk on April 11 between 9am and 1pm, where he is scheduled to speak on the topic: ‘Canopée: from design to sea trials and early days performance assessment.’

This will be a fantastic opportunity to discover how our analytical models have accurately reflected the of our wind-assisted ship propulsion. Operating in as little as 5° of apparent wind and requiring only a very small amount of energy to operate, we are convinced of the relevance of 🌬️ to effectively the industry.
