Renewable energy is not only about turbines— it is also about the people who ensure that operations run smoothly every day, keeping teams connected and wind farms performing safely and efficiently. As part of our Powered by People series, today we are highlighting the essential contribution of our operational coordination teams through the work of Sthefanie Mendoza, Operational Controller at CGNEE.

Working in a highly international environment, Sthefanie helps supervise and monitor wind farms across Europe in real time. From coordinating with maintenance teams and asset managers to responding quickly to operational situations, her role helps ensure continuity, safety and performance across our assets.

For Sthefanie, one of the most rewarding aspects of her work is the balance between technical operations, communication and problem-solving. Every day brings new challenges, requiring teamwork, adaptability and quick decision-making. Through this daily coordination, she contributes directly to the production of cleaner energy across Europe.

Since joining CGNEE, Sthefanie has especially appreciated the company’s multicultural environment and strong spirit of collaboration. She values the many intercultural activities organized within the company, which create opportunities for colleagues from different backgrounds to connect, learn from one another and strengthen team spirit.

By supporting communication, coordination and operational reliability, teams like Sthefanie’s help build the foundations that allow renewable energy projects to operate successfully every day.

Discovering renewable energy up close,

It also means getting to know the people who make it happen every day.

On May 21, at the Viâpres wind farm near Romilly-sur-Seine, nearly 80 students from the area took part in an immersive experience into the professions driving the energy transition, as part of Génération Transition 2026, an initiative led by France Renouvelables.

During this Open Day, the teams at CGN Europe Energy offered a concrete look at their day-to-day work: project development, site operations, and biodiversity considerations. A hands-on approach designed to connect theory with the careers of tomorrow.

⚡ A high-energy day at the Viapres wind farm!

On May 21, CGN Europe Energy was pleased to welcome nearly 80 students from Romilly-sur-Seine as part of Generation Transition 2026, a national initiative led by France Renouvelables.

The goal is clear: to open up real-world sites and introduce careers in renewable energy, as well as the various training pathways that lead to them. In a context where energy and climate challenges are increasingly interconnected, direct engagement with those who work every day on the transition is essential to understanding the key role renewable energy plays in our energy future.

Thanks to the outstanding commitment of our teams, the students were immersed in the world of renewable energy through interactive workshops, collaborative challenges, and hands-on technical insights into development, operations, and biodiversity. Curiosity, discussion, laughter, and teamwork shaped this immersive day dedicated to the energy transition and the jobs of tomorrow.

A huge thank you to all the colleagues involved Kévin, Nerimène, Chris, Victor, Flavia, Maëlys, Ruohan, and Claire for making this 2026 Open Day such a great collective success.

Another great teamwork milestone at the Paradis du Plessis Wind Farm!

A major gearbox replacement operation was successfully completed thanks to the strong coordination between CGN Europe Energy, and its specialized contractors. From detailed preparation to on-site ex*****on, every step was carried out with professionalism, teamwork and a strong safety focus.

Complex operations like this highlight the expertise and commitment of everyone involved in keeping our wind assets performing at their best. A big thank you to all the teams on site for their dedication and excellent work! 👏

Communication in renewable energy sometimes, it’s also this : standing in the rain, on a muddy field, camera in hand, trying to capture the most of the energy transition.

Going on site, climbing into the heart of our projects, adapting to the unexpected, and capturing the human stories behind renewable energy, this is part of the daily mission of Claire and Ruohan. Behind the scenes, they work to document the people, expertise, and commitment that keep our projects moving forward.

Because communication for us mostly means creating connexion between cultures, between teams, and between our wind farms and the communities around them. Whether preparing events, covering field operations, or sharing everyday moments from our sites, the goal remains the same: bringing a human face to renewable energy.

Cette année encore, CGN Europe Energy est heureuse de s’associer à l’initiative nationale pour ouvrir ses portes aux jeunes.

📅 Jeudi 21 mai 2026 (matin & après-midi)
📍 Parc éolien Viapres (1 & 2) – Bonne voisine - Champfleury 10700 (Aube)

À cette occasion, nous accueillerons des élèves du secondaire sur l’un de nos sites en exploitation, pour leur faire découvrir

🔹 Notre passion pour l’éolien et les énergies renouvelables
🔹 Les métiers de la transition énergétique et les formations qui y mènent
🔹 Le rôle clé des renouvelables dans notre avenir énergétique et environnemental

Avec plus de 70 000 emplois en France dans le secteur (éolien, solaire…), ces métiers porteurs de sens représentent une vraie opportunité pour les jeunes générations.

Au-delà de la technique, ces visites sont l’occasion d’échanger sur les défis de la transition et de montrer comment, chaque jour, nous produisons une énergie propre et locale.

Organisées sur plus de 150 sites en France, ces rencontres sont au cœur du changement.
