Our Founder Dr James McIlroy was in The House of Commons as a guest of the the Royal Society of Edinburgh at the Voice of the Future Event.

Here was his question to the committee: “Antibiotic resistance is fast becoming a global crisis with catastrophic economic, social and humanitarian consequences. Despite this, the field suffers from decades of under-investment by companies and governments. The Review on Antimicrobial Resistance, which reported in 2016, recommended a system of ‘market entry rewards’ to provide lump-sum payments to the successful developers of new antibiotics that meet a specified unmet medical need. What progress, if any, has been made on implementing this recommendation?”

We are also thrilled to announce that Board member Dr James Clark has joined as CEO to allow Founder Dr James McIlroy continue his medical training as a part-time junior doctor. Dr McIlroy has move to Chief Business Officer and will continue to work with Dr Clark and the rest of the team as we scale and expand internationally.
