The low-carbon journey to space. Zephalto redefines space travel standards through an environmental commitment and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We offer low-carbon journeys to the stratosphere aboard Céleste, our pressurized capsule, allowing to reach 25 km above Earth in unparalleled comfort and safety. This 6-hour flight will raise awareness among 6 exclusive guests who will have the opportunity to observe the curvature of the Earth and experience the phenomenon of the “overview effect”. Our purpose: Touch people through an experience of beauty and a contemplation of infinity and nature. Zephalto also aims to provide unique access to research and industry by combining space exploration with scientific commitment. We benefit from the support and expertise of CNES as the main partner.

The stratosphere is our first step into space 🎈

For decades, the silent expanse between 20 and 200 kilometers has remained an untouched frontier. We are changing that.

Today at the International Space Summit, our founder, Vincent Farret d'Astiès, and Board President, Ludovic Daudois, are meeting with global leaders to finally bridge the gap between Earth and space.

To us, the stratosphere is the exact place where you can see the Earth without borders and recognize the absolute fragility of our atmosphere. It is time to open up this new frontier and look at our planet differently.

Zephalto has landed on the Champs-Élysées next to the Arc de Triomphe ! 🎈

We are incredibly proud to showcase « Lucy, » our prototype capsule. She embodies years of R&D, French engineering, and rigorous testing.

Building a sustainable access to the stratosphere is a dream coming true and we’re here to show it !

Next time, we look forward to unveiling Altaïr, our passenger capsule (swipe to the end for a sneak peek!).
Come meet the team today on the Champs-Élysées to discuss the future of space access!

Rockets 🚀 and balloons 🎈 in Trondheim, Norway !

Last week, our team was in Norway for the 27th ESA Symposium on European Rocket and Balloon Programmes.

It’s an incredibly focused, intimate event packed with pure science. We spent a few days surrounded by fellow engineers, students and researchers, discovering new experiments and diving deep into technical problem-solving for the future of stratospheric solutions.

Always refreshing to connect with the minds driving the European space community forward… and taking a quick moment to appreciate the beautiful Trondheim backdrop between sessions !

Thank you and Andoya Space for this event !

Zephalto at the Space Symposium 2026 🚀

Over the course of three days, surrounded by 11,000 space industry professionals, we presented our vision for travel to the edge of space.

It was a rare opportunity to compare our approach with the professionals who design, operate, and finance space systems on a daily basis; an experience that adds a whole new dimension to what we’re developing.

The discussions were challenging, detailed, and at times unexpected. Exactly what we had come for.

They confirm one thing: our project fits perfectly into current thinking about access to the stratosphere and its applications.

We are proud and delighted to be part of this vibrant ecosystem, where the boundaries of space are constantly being redefined.

Yesterday, journeys to the edge of Space just made a giant leap forward 🎈

The first passenger capsule, that shall soon take travelers to the stratosphere, was revealed to the public !

We’re taking you backstage, before the capsule is fully equipped for its first flight mission. Those photos were taken during an exclusive event with our partners who discovered the capsule first hand.

To this day, Zephalto is still the only player to have flown a crewed capsule lifted by a reusable gas balloon at high altitude.
