Rockets 🚀 and balloons 🎈 in Trondheim, Norway !

Last week, our team was in Norway for the 27th ESA Symposium on European Rocket and Balloon Programmes.

It’s an incredibly focused, intimate event packed with pure science. We spent a few days surrounded by fellow engineers, students and researchers, discovering new experiments and diving deep into technical problem-solving for the future of stratospheric solutions.

Always refreshing to connect with the minds driving the European space community forward… and taking a quick moment to appreciate the beautiful Trondheim backdrop between sessions !

Zephalto at the Space Symposium 2026 🚀

Over the course of three days, surrounded by 11,000 space industry professionals, we presented our vision for travel to the edge of space.

It was a rare opportunity to compare our approach with the professionals who design, operate, and finance space systems on a daily basis; an experience that adds a whole new dimension to what we’re developing.

The discussions were challenging, detailed, and at times unexpected. Exactly what we had come for.

They confirm one thing: our project fits perfectly into current thinking about access to the stratosphere and its applications.

We are proud and delighted to be part of this vibrant ecosystem, where the boundaries of space are constantly being redefined.

Yesterday, journeys to the edge of Space just made a giant leap forward 🎈

The first passenger capsule, that shall soon take travelers to the stratosphere, was revealed to the public !

We’re taking you backstage, before the capsule is fully equipped for its first flight mission. Those photos were taken during an exclusive event with our partners who discovered the capsule first hand.

To this day, Zephalto is still the only player to have flown a crewed capsule lifted by a reusable gas balloon at high altitude.
