This evening is the inauguration of the breathtaking exhibition "Poison" at the Palais de la découverte in Paris !

We will attend this opening night with our unswerving partner Venomworld to present our activities and savoir faire, and to answer visitors' questions about venomous animals, venoms and their active compounds.

This exceptional show features 30 venomous animal species and reveals to the general public what venoms represent from a scientific point of view. In partnership with the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle of Paris, "Poison" will be held from October 10th, 2018 to August 11th, 2019.

Latoxan is glad to bring its support to the very first edition of the Venom conference organized by the famous Gordon Research Conferences - GRC !

The conference will be focused on Venom Evolution, Function and Biomedical Application, and will gather, among both the speakers and the attendees, researchers and experts of the most leading-edge laboratories in this field, who will share their last advances and discoveries.

This first edition will be held in Mount Snow, Vermont, USA, from June 5th to 10th 2018.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kofi Annan calls for a mobilization of laboratories to improve research on snakebites and make antivenoms accessible to the poorest. "These snakebites kill between 81,000 and 138,000 people worldwide each year, and many more suffer from permanent mental and physical disabilities. In comparison, dengue fever, transmitted by mosquitoes, makes about 20,000 deaths a year. Despite its enormous impact, snake bite is the biggest public health crisis you've probably never heard of. "
