When days grow shorter and cold sets in, fragrance becomes more than an accessory. It transforms into a ritual, a conscious gesture that brings us back to ourselves. ❄
Developed in the 1980s, aromachology studies the impact of scents on our psyche. Unlike aromatherapy which treats the body, it explores how fragrances alter our emotional states. The principle is simple: our sense of smell communicates directly with the limbic system, the seat of our emotions and memory, without conscious filtering.
A scent molecule can instantly soothe, stimulate, or comfort.
Certain notes play a particular role during the winter months:
🪔 Incense
A millennia-old resin derived from Boswellia, with woody and slightly citrus facets. It promotes deep relaxation, reduces stress, and creates an atmosphere conducive to meditation.
🪵Resins

Citrus embodies vitality. Bergamot, with its energizing qualities, inspires optimism. Neroli, extracted from bitter orange blossoms, brings serenity and freshness, gracefully marking transitions.
🤍 White flowers symbolize the purity of new chapters. Lily evokes rebirth and the innocence of fresh starts. Lily of the valley, in the Victorian language of flowers, signifies the "return to happiness." White jasmine celebrates new beginnings with delicacy.
These precious notes have accompanied, across cultures and eras, moments of transition: weddings, births, celebrations that mark the passage from one state to another.
