A huge start to the week for the European space sector with major advancements in space exploration!

👉 French President Emmanuel Macron announced that astronauts Thomas Pesquet and Arnaud Prost will head into space in 2027, with Pesquet returning to the ISS and Prost flying to the commercial space station Haven-1 developed by Vast, which is also installing its European headquarters in Paris.

👉 Meanwhile, the UK government has signed a landmark agreement with Vast that could see John McFall become the first person with a physical disability to reach orbit, flying to Haven-1 to conduct pioneering research on microgravity and prosthetics.

We couldn’t be more thrilled at the Spaceflight Institute than to see Europe leading the charge into the future of orbit!

🚀 The Spaceflight Institute has successfully landed at the Space Symposium in Colorado Springs!

We are thrilled to be part of this event alongside the French delegation, organized by Business France, in partnership with CNES and GIFAS, with support from the Alliance New Space France and le Commandement de l’espace.

The Space Symposium is a big opportunity to continue to position the Spaceflight Institute at the heart of the space industry dynamics.

Looking forward to connecting with everyone on-site! 🚀

We are thrilled to have been able to attend Health From Space 2026!

This essential event highlighted how microgravity is transforming health and research. We discussed key topics like neurodegenerative diseases, regenerative medicine, oncology, cell and gene therapies, antibiotic resistance and many more.

It also gave us the opportunity to continue key discussions with space agencies, exchange with the players of future commercial space stations and meet the companies that will tomorrow be users of these infrastructures.

We are truly grateful to have attended such a congress, reuniting the key figures of the space industry.
