Strutbrace/battery tray combo fabbed up and installed. 👌

Something a little bit different. Customer wanted to avoid the common flat bar and m8 rod through the floor kinda job so he took it to me and asked me todo my thing.

Some more small progress on tommys civic

Tidied up the inner wings need to make mounts to attach wings to at the front. Will use rubber edging trim to tidy the end up. Was tempted to close the entire area up but that’s going to add a fair amount of hours and weight so iv priorities other areas.

Radiator mounted still to be modified to suit im probably going to move the filler to a higher location on the side of engine.
Bonnet pins picked up.. easy 👌😂
Wrap around a completed to protect the car. Someone is going to pipe up and say about them pointing towards the wheel. Yes they are but they are about 200mm from the wheel and can always be shortened so save your breath 😂.

Tilting the rad forward will hopefully allow me to make up some ducking to help exit the air up out through the bonnet and hopefully still be able to accommodate a twin fan setup. 🤞 buzzing to cut up his carbon bonnet it’s one of my favourite activities 😂😂

First real post on tommys car. So basically Iv just torn the front end off and started again. The only reason Iv taken the legs back that far was due to some questionable repair so I cut them just behind the repair and plated them and come from there forward.

Thats the basic tube front end done I just need to start adding things in. There is of course still various brackets and mounts to be added to this to accommodate things like cooler etc. both sections are completely removable first section that acts as your slam panel and also your bottom cross member slips over the top of the chassis tube and fixed top and bottom. Then you offer up the actual crossbar (still todo the wraparound to help protect more of the car.

It’s a shame we didn’t have the original front end to compare the weight saving on this. I want to save a much as possible to try offset the added weight of the cooler etc etc.. I have some ideas to apply to this car Iv been itching todo to bobs 🤷🏻‍♂️😂.
