*Project Highlight: Remote Buried Vessel Inspection*

Sonomatic’s proud to share our recent success in remotely inspecting a fully buried closed drains vessel—no personnel entry required!

Utilising advanced robotics and custom deployment solutions, we successfully met the client's coverage requirements for internal corrosion mapping via just two accessible nozzles. All data was processed in our SIMS platform, supporting ongoing asset integrity.

Key takeaways:

• Zero confined space entry
• Bespoke engineering for challenging access
• Real-time monitoring and high-quality data

This project sets a new benchmark for safe, efficient, and comprehensive internal vessel inspection when access to the outer surface is not possible.

*Another milestone group achievement!*

Sonomatic, Geo Oceans, and AUAV: Drone Services and Data Solutions recently delivered a fully integrated NDT solution on an operating FPSO, combining advanced robotics, drone technology, and inspection expertise under a single contract.

Geo Oceans and AUAV deployed the Sonomatic Robotic Magnetic Crawler, custom-modified by the Sonomatic E2i division to suit the unique tank environment. AUAV operated the SCOUT DI 137 UAV under BVLOS conditions to support navigation and positioning.

The result: conclusive inspection findings with less than one man-hour of confined space entry—saving the client a costly shipyard maintenance and repair campaign and weeks of lost production.

This project shows the strength of group collaboration, with future applications already being planned across other structural locations on the asset.
