The Wallace Facility Open Day provided a closer look at the capabilities now brought together under one roof in Aberdeen, Scotland to support safe, efficient and sustainable offshore operations.

Our teams demonstrated integrated solutions across Tubular Running Services, Wellbore Clean‑Up, Drilling Tool Rental and Remedial and Abandonment. The demonstrations showed how our specialised equipment and operational practices work together to improve well integrity, reduce manual handling and optimise performance at the wellsite.

These Well Services activities go hand in hand with our wider Operations and Projects and Engineering teams, ensuring robust planning, engineered solutions and seamless ex*****on offshore. Together, they reflect the depth of capability enabled by our modern facility, and what one Odfjell Technology team can deliver.

Over the past two days, we’ve been delighted to welcome customers, partners and colleagues to our new Wallace Facility in Aberdeenshire. 💚

The Open Day gave us the chance to demonstrate the competency across our three business areas of Well Services, Projects and Engineering, and Operations. It also allowed us to showcase the capacity of the new facility and Odfjell Technology's continued commitment to the UK as we support activity across the UKCS.

With over 200 attendees and more than 50 companies represented across the two days, visitors explored the technologies, expertise and collaborative partnerships that strengthen service delivery and support safe, efficient and reliable operations. We were pleased to host partners including RAZOR Oiltools Limited, Kaseum Technology Ltd, Plowman Craven, Oilfield Service Professionals, LLC (OSP), Mactech Europe Ltd, JWS and Volant Products Inc.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us. Over the coming weeks, we will be highlighting some of the technologies and capabilities that make the Wallace Facility an important addition to our UK operations.

This summer, five new faces have joined our Bergen office, all coming straight from their studies and ready to put theory into practice.
Tora and Sunniva are working with our Projects & Engineering team, while Henrik, Emma and Casper have joined Supply Chain as purchasers.

Summer interns bring fresh perspectives and new energy, and in return we give them real work and real responsibility, and a proper look at what our industry is actually like.

We’re getting ready to welcome guests to the Wallace Facility Open Day on 21–22 July, with final preparations now underway in Aberdeen, UK. The team is setting up the site, partners are preparing their technology showcases, and the facility is being readied to give visitors a close look at the capabilities supporting activity across the North Sea. 💚

This new facility represents a major step in strengthening our UK presence, built on modern infrastructure and enhanced service offerings that support safe, efficient and sustainable operations.

We’re looking forward to opening the doors next week and sharing this important milestone for our UK operations.

Offshore activity across Asia Pacific continues to advance, with operators and service companies focused on improving well intervention and P&A performance across the region. OWI APAC 2026 in Kuala Lumpur reflected that drive clearly.

Across two days, the event brought together a strong mix of operators, technical specialists and solution providers to share practical case studies, operational lessons and new approaches to intervention challenges. The discussions highlighted a shared commitment to reducing campaign costs, strengthening reliability and accelerating the adoption of technologies that support safer, more efficient offshore operations.

We were pleased to contribute to this year’s programme and to showcase how RAZOR Oiltools Limited intervention and P&A technologies enhance Odfjell Technology’s broader well services offering following our recent acquisition.

Thank you to the Offshore Network Ltd. organisers, speakers and delegates for delivering a valuable and well‑structured event. OWI APAC remains an important platform for collaboration in the region, and we look forward to building on the momentum from Kuala Lumpur.

We're pleased to be contributing to the conference with a presentation from our Technical Sales Engineer, Ritchie Cattanach.

In ‘Reducing P&A Intervention Cost with a Toolbox’, Ritchie will discuss practical approaches to reducing P&A costs and operational complexity, sharing real examples from intervention campaigns and insights into the technologies shaping the future of well abandonment.

Following the acquisition of a majority stake in RAZOR Oiltools Limited, Odfjell Technology continues to strengthen its well intervention and P&A offering, combining specialist technologies with more than five decades of global well services experience.

Meet Truls, our Global Supply Chain Manager for Well Services 👋

Truls joined Odfjell Technology in 2023, returning to a role focused on supply chain management after several years in sales.

Over the past year, Truls has been part of Well Services' exciting international growth journey, helping the supply chain function keep pace with rapid expansion 🌎

Beyond his day-to-day role, Truls is known for bringing energy to the workplace. Whether he's performing with the Odfjell Technology band, taking part in golf tournaments or joining ski trips, he believes that enjoying the journey is an important part of delivering results.

We are pleased to announce that a major North Sea operator has signed a Letter of Intent to exercise its two-year option for the provision of comprehensive drilling services on a North Sea platform. The operator has also extended the agreement with an additional two-year option. 🙌

Odfjell Technology has supported this asset for several years, and we look forward to continuing our strong collaboration in the years ahead💚

Energistafetten is quickly becoming a favourite tradition for our colleagues in Stavanger, and this year we were proud to have six Odfjell Technology teams on the starting line👏

Our Rig Inspection Services (RIS) team has been piloting laser treatment for rust removal, as part of an ongoing painting campaign onboard Deepsea Yantai 🙌

💡 The helideck area can be challenging to access, while also requiring careful consideration of noise due to proximity to the accommodation module. This led the team to explore laser treatment as an alternative to more traditional methods such as needle scaling.

The result?

✔️ Reduced noise and vibration
✔️ Improved ergonomics
✔️ Same high-quality result
✔️ Significant time savings

Safety remains the priority. A dedicated 20-metre safety zone has been established, appropriate PPE is required, and everyone coming onboard is informed about the operation.

The pilot has shown promising results, and the team continues to explore how new methods can support safer and more efficient operations offshore. 💚
