2024. NovaBiotics NM002 programme is our contribution to . NM002 is a unique, dual immunomodulatory-antimicrobial intervention for viral and/or bacterial pneumonia which together, are responsible for >2 million deaths across the world annually. This is not acceptable and the need to develop more and better solutions to combat has never been more urgent. An IV presentation of NM002 has been trialled in UK ICU patients with severe pneumonia in the phase 3 study. www.stoppneumonia.org

is back in the press and is an increasing, significant public health concern. We previously published that this is one of the priority bacteria in which cysteamine potentiates antibiotic activity. More work to do and other antibiotics and strains to investigate, but very relevant with the current situation.

Very pleased to announce our award of a £1m grant from Innovate UK to support Nylexa's clinical development for COVID-19. There are no other treatments being tested for COVID-19 with the established safety profile & unique, dual antimicrobial-immunomodulatory activity of Nylexa. Unlike single-target therapy candidates that address only the SARS-CoV-2 virus or the hyperinflammation it can trigger, Nylexa targets multiple drivers of COVID-19 pathology & therefore offers a much greater chance of clinical success. We are excited to advance Nylexa as an urgently needed, readily-available, scalable and cost-effective, potentially game-changing therapy for COVID-19.
