We're looking for 2 temporary Warehouse Assistants to work over the summer period assisting us with stock checks and picking orders.

You don’t need to have previous warehouse experience but we are looking for;

✔️ Someone who is motivated and quick to learn.
✔️ Someone who is capable of working on their own initiative, but not afraid to ask questions when unsure.
✔️ Someone who is keen to develop their skills and knowledge.
✔️ Someone who appreciates the benefits of being part of a committed team.

Another successful Lunch & Learn delivered in partnership with Nord-Lock Group.

These sessions are a valuable way for engineering, procurement and maintenance teams to stay up to date with the latest industry developments, share challenges, and learn about innovative solutions that can improve safety, reliability and performance in critical applications.

Our latest session focused on bolted joint security, the causes of fastener loosening, and practical approaches to reducing risk and improving joint integrity. The level of engagement and discussion once again highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for knowledge sharing across the industry.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and to the Nord-Lock Group team for sharing their expertise and technical insights.

We are hosting a technical Lunch & Learn with Nord-Lock Group at our premises in Dyce - and you’re invited!

If you work in maintenance, reliability, design engineering, rotating equipment, or anything involving bolted joint performance and asset reliability, this session will be well worth attending.

We’ll be covering:
🔩 Bolted joint integrity in real-world applications
⚙️ The effects of vibration on bolted joints and equipment reliability
📉 A live Junker Test demonstration showing how bolted joints lose preload under vibration
✅ How wedge-locking technology helps maintain clamp load in demanding environments

It’s a practical session focused on improving reliability, reducing downtime, and understanding why bolted joints fail in service.

We’re pleased to share our next step forward in our sustainability journey at Grampian Fasteners.

We’ve recently added two fully electric vans to our company fleet and installed solar panels at our premises in Dyce. These investments will help us reduce emissions from our local operations while generating renewable energy on-site and lowering our reliance on the national grid.

This is also part of our commitment to working alongside customers who are increasingly focused on sustainability within their own operations and supply chains. By improving the environmental efficiency of our business, we aim to support our customers’ goals while continuing to deliver the quality, reliability, and service they expect from us.

These practical upgrades reflect our commitment to our purpose to help to create an environment where all our families can flourish. The products we supply go into infrastructure and equipment people rely on every day, so it’s important that we also consider the environmental impact of how we run our own business.

We will continue to look for opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability across our operations as part of our long-term strategy.

It's often best just to keep it simple and it appears to be working.

Huge thanks to Andy and Jamie from Men In Mind for coming in this week and telling the story of how the organisation supports men with all sorts of struggles. It's as simple as turning up.

We had the pleasure of welcoming The North East Quine along to Grampian Fasteners for a wee tour of the place 👷‍♀️🔩

From a wander around our busy trade shop to a behind-the-scenes look at the warehouse and a catch-up in the offices, it was brilliant to show what goes on day-to-day and the team that keeps everything moving.

There’s a lot more to fasteners than meets the eye – and we loved sharing a glimpse of the hard work, organisation, and banter that make it all happen!

This week is Challenge Poverty Week 2025, a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of poverty in Scotland and explore the ways we can all contribute to ending it.

At Grampian Fasteners, we’re committed to supporting our local community – and in line with Thursday’s theme of “Better Investment in Our Communities,” we’re proud to support AberNecessities, a fantastic local charity based in Dyce, providing essential items to children living in poverty across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

With winter approaching, they are currently in need of:

- Preloved warm clothing, footwear, books, and baby equipment (ages 0–18)
- New/unused baby care essentials (nappies, wipes, formula)
- Toiletries suitable for older children and teens

👉 For those without children’s items to donate, there are still many ways to get involved:

* Ask friends or family if they have suitable donations
* Pick up a few essentials during your next shop
