Club statement:
After several lengthy discussions East End Football Club are delighted to announce we are now in partnership with Lewis United Youth.
This confirming we now have 15 youth teams all running under a management committee made up of Dougie Yeats, Lee Youngson, Richard Burnett and Alistair Reid.
All teams will be called East End Lewis Youth by the start of the 2018-19 season with the home club colours of black and gold becoming affective by or before June 2019 for all teams.
The aim of this set-up is to provide a safe playing environment while striving to develop players at youth level to the highest standard possible.
The agreement plan in place now gives 150 kids a clear pathway from grassroots to junior football which was always the long term plan for this club, we're delighted we have managed to secure this in just under three seasons.
The long term view for our youth set up is to have our own complex for the youth teams while securing training facilities for all teams to utilise.
Junior manager Lee Youngson has been heavily involved in pushing the partnership through alongside Lewis United Youth chairman Richard Burnett, Richard was pleased an agreement had been reached between the two clubs commenting as below:
