A closer look at how Cyclops+ fits alongside the diver’s mask! 👇

Shown here on an Interspiro Divator, the unit mounts onto a side rail, bringing the camera, LED light and depth sensor together in one housing.

The camera and light sit at the front, with the depth sensor built into the same assembly. This reduces the need to fit separate camera and light brackets around the mask.

For a sense of scale, the housing measures 91 × 29.5 × 69.5 mm, excluding the connector.

This is Cyclops+, our new underwater camera with a built-in LED light and depth sensor. Three functions in one compact, mask-mounted unit, with fewer separate components and brackets to fit around the diver’s mask.

Following positive results from test dives, it’s now ready to go!

A little look at what’s keeping us busy in the workshop 👋

This is our CT3015-He Hyperbaric Colour Camera, built for monitoring inside hyperbaric chambers and diving bells.

One feature you might not spot in the photo is its helium relief valve. As pressure in the chamber comes down, the valve lets trapped gas escape from the camera housing back into the chamber.

A small part with an important job, helping protect the camera as the pressure changes.

We’re delighted to welcome Lee Duncan back to the team as our Business Development Director.

Lee previously worked with C-Tecnics between 2012 and 2014 and will already be well known to many of our longstanding customers and industry contacts.

He returns with more than a decade of additional experience across business development, sales, strategy, compliance and technical management within the commercial diving and wider subsea industries.

As a key point of contact for our customers, Lee will work closely with them to understand their requirements and support their current and upcoming projects.

Lee said: “It’s great to return to C-Tecnics and see some familiar faces, alongside many new members of the team, new clients and an expanding product range. The growth of the company has been fantastic to see, and I’m excited to build on that progress and help drive the next stage of C-Tecnics’ development.”

In the September edition of SUT’s Big Blue World, we share the story behind Hubro, exploring its development and the thinking behind its compact, multi-role design.

It’s also great to see Magnus Lindberg in the coverage of Gadgets & Widgets in Aberdeen, where he introduced Hubro and discussed its development with fellow members of the subsea community.

Alongside these features, C-Tecnics receives a welcome as a new SUT Corporate Member. It’s been a busy start to our membership, and we’ve enjoyed the opportunity to share ideas and meet others working across the industry.

All C-Tecnics-engineered products undergo design testing and verification appropriate to their intended application and operating conditions.

The methods used vary across our product range. These may include functional, electrical, pressure, load, release or breathing-performance testing, depending on what the equipment is designed to do. Independent testing and third-party conformity assessment are also used where required.

This approach is supported by our ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system, which is reviewed annually by SGS.

What if less hardware could do more?

Our Managing Director, Magnus Lindberg, took that question to the stage at Society for Underwater Technology yesterday.

Magnus explored some of the challenges facing ROV and subsea systems, and how we challenged ourselves to combine functionality that can often require multiple cameras, moving parts and associated hardware into one compact product.

The result was Hubro, our new virtual pan & tilt camera.

It was fantastic to see the interest continue after the presentation, with plenty of great conversations at our stand and the opportunity for attendees to get a closer look at Hubro and its supporting software.

We also heard from a brilliant mix of speakers throughout the day, with plenty of interesting and inspiring ideas on show from across the subsea industry.

C-Tecnics was proud to sponsor this year's Gadgets & Widgets, and as a new SUT corporate member, it was great to attend our first event since joining. We're looking forward to many more.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of His Majesty King Harald V.

King Harald will be remembered for his lifelong service to Norway, his warmth and unifying presence, and his great love of the sea and Norway’s natural environment.

Our thoughts are with the people of Norway at this sad time.
