A very happy birthday today to our brilliant Operations Manager, Sophie.

Sophie is a huge part of the day-to-day running of Oxford Air — keeping things moving, keeping everyone organised and helping make sure our customers, engineers and wider team get the support they need.

Does setting your air conditioning to 16°C cool the room faster?

No — and it’s one of the most common air conditioning myths.

Setting your system to 16°C doesn’t usually make it cool the room any faster than setting it to 22°C. It simply tells the unit to keep working until it reaches that much lower temperature.

For most homes and workplaces, a setting of around 21°C to 24°C is a much more sensible starting point.

You’ll still feel the benefit, without asking the system to work unnecessarily hard.

Fault found. Part replaced. Fridge display back in action. 🔧💡

Our team was recently called out to a commercial multideck fridge after the internal lighting stopped working.

After testing the unit, we traced the problem to a failed LED driver.

A replacement driver was fitted, the electrical connections checked and secured, and the complete lighting system tested before we left site.

✅ Fault quickly diagnosed
✅ Failed component replaced
✅ Connections checked
✅ Lighting fully restored

A relatively small repair — but an important one when good product visibility matters.

Another job completed with minimal disruption and the equipment back to working as it should. 👏

❄️ Cool mode – for cooling your room

💨 Fan mode – circulates air but does not cool it

☀️ Heat mode – for warming your space

If you are trying to cool your home or workplace, make sure the snowflake symbol is showing on your remote or controller.
