We see apprenticeships as a great way to build the skills we need for the future ⚙️

Working with Farnborough College of Technology and other providers, we give young people and career changers hands-on experience in manufacturing, helping them build skills for the aerospace and defence industries.

Alongside bringing in apprentices each year, we also support full-time college students with 12-week placements to help them finish their studies and get valuable industry experience.

It’s all about building future talent and supporting the local community - something we’re proud to be part of.

Today's job: gear hobbing. 👍

We're able to achieve ISO grade 5 accuracy straight off process, meaning components don’t need any secondary finishing before they’re ready for use.

That level of precision helps keep production efficient, reduces lead times and avoids unnecessary extra cost further down the line!

Some of the most important parts on an aircraft are the ones nobody sees. ✈️

Take our primary and secondary matched fuel pump gear sets and engine driveshafts for example, they help drive the Airbus A350's twin Rolls-Royce plc XWB engines.

As we reflect on Aviation Day, it’s a good opportunity to recognise the precision engineering that quietly keeps the world connected, one flight at a time.

A new chapter for FT Gearing Systems. 🤝

We’re pleased to be part of Global Precision, following the group’s official rebrand from G.S. Precision.

The new name reflects the growth of the wider group, which now brings together five divisions and 11 centres of excellence across North America, Asia and Europe.

For us, this means being part of a growing global manufacturing platform, bringing together specialist expertise and expanded capabilities across the aerospace, defence and emerging technology sectors.

We’re looking forward to seeing where this next chapter takes us!

All good things must come to an end - including Farnborough International Airshow . ✈️

After a busy few days of meetings, conversations and plenty of aircraft flying overhead, the show is coming to a close.

This year, our focus wasn’t on showcasing components, but on the conversations behind them, meeting with customers, partners and industry contacts to discuss future opportunities and how we can continue supporting the aerospace sector.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us throughout the week. It’s been a great opportunity to reconnect, build relationships and look ahead to what’s next.
