The little re-model job is nearing completion, hoping to get this one over the line tommorow, all plastered now kitchen fitters are in moaning as they do !!! Big push tommorow, even been feeding the cat whilst we’re there 😂😂

Big day today being brave against the weather !!! Big dormer roof to build in a day.
I see videos and posts where people are building these things under fixed roof scaffolds and people saying about the costs, 30 years I’ve been building these, never once have we had a fixed roof scaffold, these no need just be organised it’s that simple !!!

Massive achievement on this one for two days work, 5 of us hit the ground running on this yesterday morning at 7am, 3 of us back today, ready for mr plasterer to do his magic.
New kitchen and flooring next week and that’ll be another transformation carried out.

Early start today try and beat the heat, need to think about out welfare first and foremost today, extractor fans set up try and draw the heat out, thankfully all internals on this one so we can keep out the sun.

Year on year we see a change to the building regulations, normally a change to the u-values, basically someone somewhere that’s not in the real world wants us to put more insulation into every build to prevent heat loss.

Year on year we see less of the long cold winters where we need to keep everything toasty warm, but more milder weather, red hot summer days, if you believe it’s global warming then you need a job with the people coming up with these u-value targets !!! We were having hot summers 40/50 years ago it’s nothing new.

Due to this we’re seeing more and more people not having conventional heating, more so in the loft conversions, but instead opting for air conditioning.
