2 weeks ago, a customer in the local area asked us to match a £2,400 Boxt boiler install quote.
Worcester 4000, 30kw.
Filter, stat, powerflush, flue, upgrades — the lot.
I told him honestly… I couldn’t match it. Not even close.
But I explained what we do guarantee:
✔️ Installed properly and to Regs
✔️ Registered with Gas Safe & manufacturer
✔️ All paperwork done
✔️ Someone to come back if there are any issues
✔️ A system that actually works when we leave
He decided to go with the cheaper option.
Today, we get a call…
Boiler has been fitted, BUT the heating hasn’t worked since day one.
He’s been told a rubbish excuse ‘it’s because of two TRVs’ and the installer won’t return until they’re changed.
He asked if we could step in.
As much as we’d like to help, if we touch it, it becomes “third party interference” and he risks losing any support from the original installer.
So we’ve had to send him back to them.
We’re not always the cheapest.
BUT we are the ones you can trust to do the Job first time.
