🏠 Another one completed! 👌

This project involved removing two existing ceilings, overboarding both with new plasterboard and finishing with a fresh skim throughout.

We also removed a built-in wardrobe to open the room up and create a much more usable space.

A few unexpected extras cropped up along the way, but everything was sorted and the finished result speaks for itself. Another happy customer! 🙌

🧱 One of this week’s jobs was repairing some inside window reveals and carrying out a small patch repair on a lintel. It’s been a while since I’ve done any precast stone repairs, but it brought back a lot of good memories. 😊

👷‍♂️ I started as a 16-year-old plastering apprentice at Sterling Precast, straight from school. Walking into a place like that was a massive culture shock, but sticking it out was one of the best decisions I ever made. 💪

🏗️ I spent almost 16 years there making precast stones and carrying out repairs alongside some incredible tradesmen. They taught me so much, and many of them played a huge part in shaping the plasterer I am today. 🙌 There wasn’t a day that went by without a laugh 😂, and some of the stories and characters from those years will stay with me forever.

❤️ Sadly, some of the men I worked under have since passed away, but I’ll always be grateful for the time they invested in me as a young lad.

🏭 Sterling Precast is gone now, and most of the boys have moved on to different places, but if I could turn back the clock, I’d love to have everyone together again for just one more day. 🙏

⏳ Life moves fast. Sometimes it’s good to stop, look back, and appreciate the people who helped shape the person you are today. I’ll always be grateful to the men who took the time to teach me and invest in me. 👊🧱💙

Busy start to the week skimming these ceilings for a lovely couple in Bo’ness 🙌

The difference getting rid of Artex makes to a room is incredible 😮‍💨✨ It instantly feels brighter, cleaner and much more spacious – especially once it’s painted 🎨🏠

Today I’m outside patching some roughcast in this glorious weather ☀️😎 although the hayfever is in full swing 🤧🌿 Time to get the antihistamines fired in! 🤣
