We are pleased to announce that we will be recruiting for an Apprentice Roofer/ Cladder this year. The successful candidate will be placed with an experienced mentor to learn the trade and sent to a local college to coincide with the on-the-job training.

The job will involve working at height and therefore anyone applying must be comfortable with this aspect of the role.

Marshall Scaffold, Safety Netting and Edge Protection (a division of Marshall Construction) is seeking an experienced Scaffold Sales and Account Manager.

This is a permanent, full-time position based out of our Alva Branch.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Scaffold Department Management team, they will be provided with a company vehicle. Knowledge/experience in Scaffolding Estimating is not essential, but preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Attending meeting with existing and new clients.
• Work alongside Scaffold Management to determine the scope of work for estimating and tendering purposes.
• Assisting in the completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in the scaffolding industry with large, reputable scaffolding companies is desirable
• Well-versed in Kwikstage System scaffolding and traditional tube and fitting scaffolding.
• You'll need a broad base of skills, including written and verbal communication, relationship building and IT skills.
• Enthusiastic, approachable and creative
• Able to approach challenges constructively and work with others to give the best possible customer service.

Qualifications:

• Full Driving Licence

Marshall Construction is seeking an Office Junior for our Contracts Department. The successful candidate will work alongside our existing Document Controller to learn the role and assist in their duties.

This would ideally be suited to someone who has recently left school with approximately 1 to 2 years of previous experience in an office environment.

Expected to start early in January 2024

Working primarily as a Document Controller, typical duties will include:
• Print off construction drawings and provide information packs to clients, site management team, and sub-contractors.
• Managing information flow such as emails, Non-Conformance Reports, and housing defect lists.
• Maintain and update information on MS Excel spreadsheets/ MS Word/ Document Management System software
• Create new documents in MS Word and Excel.
• File conversions
• Scanning training and Health and Safety records into electronic format and filing onto servers.
• Providing administrative assistance to other members of office staff.

The salary paid will be between £16,000 to £18,000 depending on age and experience.

Works are progressing well at our £21.6m development in Glasgow…...

The Newhall Street development has been in progress for a few months and expected to be handed over August 2024.

The development will see the delivery of 151 flats, playing a key role in Glasgow’s East End Regeneration plan. Located alongside the River Clyde, the development will be comprised of five apartment blocks consisting of one and two-bed apartments. Once completed, the development will provide direct access to the city centre in addition to being only a short walk from Glasgow Green.
