What were the most talked-about products?
🏗️ Concrete Skip with Safety Attachments: These safety-led attachments were created alongside Tier 1 contractors to maximise safety, maintain productivity, and reduce risk. By removing operatives from under the skip, the Extended Flow Gate and Hose Guide transform the concrete pouring process, along with the Bauer Connection for quicker hose changes and cleaning.

🏗️ Crane Forks Cage: Its fail-safe design ensures the safe transport of goods in an enclosed cage, providing best practices for moving and securing loads, eliminating the risk of loads shifting and falling mid-lift.

🏗️ Centre-Lift Road Plates: A popular conversation starter. Teams understood the need for these, a simple yet extremely effective method of lifting road plates. How do you create more working space on a site in the heart of London, next to a hospital and a busy road?💡

At the new Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Cancer Centre, Getjar and John Sisk & Son Ltd
are delivering complex basement and RC frame works within an extremely constrained central London hospital estate.

With a single-lane pit lane needing to remain open for site traffic, positioning cranes or excavation plant at ground level wasn’t a practical option.

The solution? Conquip's Temporary Logistics Deck. 🚧

Working with Getjar from almost two years before installation, our Temporary Works Team developed a coordinated solution of two of our Temporary Logistics Decks, along with the basement Temporary Propping scheme.

The decks can be configured to the site's needs and have allowed excavators and mobile cranes to operate above the basement excavation, increasing the usable logistics footprint while keeping the pit lane available for deliveries and site movements.

And as the project progresses, the decks have been designed to adapt with it, supporting excavation, muck-away and lifting operations at different stages of the programme.

It’s a great example of what early collaboration between the contractor, temporary works team and wider design team can unlock on a highly constrained project.
