Over the weekend, Richard Smith, our Divisional Managing Director for the Northern region, went along to support Wakefield AFC Under 8s as they played their first home league game of the season.

The lads looked fantastic in their new kit, proudly sponsored by Sebden Steel Service Centres.

It’s great to see the team looking so smart and, more importantly, enjoying their football. We’re delighted to play our part in supporting junior sport within our local communities.

Experienced Steel Decoiling/Blanking Line Operator

Location: Sebden Steel, Brierley Hill
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:00pm, Friday 7:00am–3:00pm

About the Role

Due to continued growth, Sebden Steel’s Brierley Hill site is seeking a experienced Decoiling Line Operator to join our skilled and expanding production team.

You’ll play a key role in the efficient operation of our processing lines, maintaining high standards of quality, output, and safety.

Your Profile

Essential Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Proven experience as a Decoiling Line Operator, including leveller setting and working to close tolerances
Strong ability to monitor and manage both product quality and output
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Accurate completion of all production paperwork
Capable of working independently and as part of a wider team
Flexible, proactive, and forward-thinking attitude
Quality - use of verniers, Micrometres
Working to Health & safety Regulations
5s Knowledge, maintain clean workspace
Desirable Skills

Valid Forklift Truck licence
Experience with Overhead Cranes

Finishing runners-up and securing promotion to Division 1 in the North Staffs Junior Youth League is a brilliant achievement and a reward for all the hard work, dedication, and teamwork shown throughout the season.
