🔨 We’ve been a bit quiet on here lately… but we promise it’s for good reason!

It’s been non-stop behind the scenes — and to top it off, our van was off the road for a couple of weeks getting repairs done 🚐🔧 (never ideal when you rely on it every day!).

The good news?

We’re fully back up and running and gearing up for a busy few months ahead.

We’re currently booked up until the middle of June, but:

👉 We’re taking bookings for the rest of the year
👉 We may be able to squeeze in smaller jobs
👉 Plenty of exciting projects coming up

🎄 As we start to wind down for Christmas here at Shaw & Sons, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s kept us so busy this year 🙌

It’s been a brilliant few months, and we’re now heading into the festive period with several jobs already booked in for the start of the New Year 🔨

📅 Over the next couple of weeks, we’ve still got some availability to come out and quote for new projects planned for 2026 — whether it’s joinery, carpentry, or building work you’ve been thinking about getting sorted in the New Year.

🛠️ Another busy spell here at Shaw & Sons — thanks for keeping us on our toes! 🙌

Here’s a look at some of the jobs we’ve completed recently:

✨ Fitted brand new worktops
🚪 Repaired doors and closures
➡️ Installed sleek new bi-fold doors
🌳 Hung beautiful new oak doors
🚪🚪 Yes… even more new doors!
📦 Built a handy new storage cupboard
🪚 Completed a wardrobe fit-out
🚧 Installed a new fence and gate
🪜 Added a smart new oak balustrade with white spindles

A brilliant mix of work — and we’re delighted with how everything’s turning out.

🎃 Sorry for the lack of posts — it’s been a busy one! 🎃

We’ve been getting back into the swing of things since returning from our holiday and have been flat out with some great jobs lately 🛠️

Here’s a few of the projects we’ve been up to:
👻 Built a Halloween ticket booth for the wife’s Creepy Carnival party 🎪
🪵 Replaced rotten wood around a bay window
🚪 Created a new doorway and fitted new doors
🧰 Installed new worktops
🎯 Added a new loft hatch & ladder
🔒 Fitted a new door and replaced locks
🌿 Built a new pergola – which the customer has painted, and it looks amazing!

The diary’s filling up fast in the run-up to Christmas, but we’ve still got the odd day here and there — and we’re already taking bookings for the New Year too.

👉 Don’t leave it too late to get booked in — we hate having to disappoint customers when we can’t squeeze them in!

🍁 Autumn’s rolling in and we’ve been busy! 🍁

We’ve just wrapped up a few cracking projects — including:-

🛖 A brand new summerhouse with canopy and decking

🚪A bold yellow composite front door (looks amazing with our customer’s autumn wreath 🌻)

🚪New internal oak doors with a partition to create a lovely new toilet space.

We’re squeezing in a short autumn break soon before jumping into our winter projects 🔨❄️

✨ Fortnightly Update ✨

It’s been a busy couple of weeks and we’ve had the pleasure of working on some fab projects for our amazing customers 🙌

🪚New flooring, skirting, facings & door for a lovely client’s new workspace (can’t wait to share full room pics once finished 📸)

👕👗 Custom-built wardrobes designed to fit the space perfectly.

🍽️💦 Repaired a kitchen floor after damage from a leak.

🚪➡️🚪 Beautiful new French doors installed.

🌳✨ Fitted solid oak doors throughout a home – what a transformation!

All customers very happy with their new upgrades 😍👌

📅 We’ve still got a little space available end of October, and are now booking for jobs to be completed before Christmas 🎄🎅 or into the New Year 🎆.

We’re also getting ready to kick off a fab new project next week – stay tuned for updates 👀✨

Finally, a massive thank you 💙 to all our customers for your business and patience. Quotes have been a bit slower than usual this week while my wife was in hospital but now shes home recovering ❤️ – Things are getting back on track again.

🛠️ Fortnightly Update from Shaw & Sons Joiners and Builders 🛠️

It’s been a busy few weeks for the team — here’s what we’ve been up to:

👩‍🍳 Kitchen Complete!

We’ve just finished a full kitchen install for a lovely customer — and they are over the moon with the results! Another job completed to our usual high standards. ✅

🌿 Garden Revamp

Another project included:

🔹️Brand new fence panels with trellis
🔹️Removal of old rotten decking & installation of new decking
🔹️A neat slabbed area for wheelie bins
🔹️Repaired a damaged brick wall

A total transformation just in time for the change in seasons! 🍂

🛁 Bathroom Renovation in Progress

This week, we’ve ripped out an old bathroom and installed a fresh new suite, complete with:

🔹️Wet wall panels
🔹️Electric shower
🔹️Ready for the towel rail to go in next week

Customer will be fitting their own Lino to complete the look 👌

✨ All customers extremely happy with the results — which is exactly what we aim for every time.

☀️ Summer Break Notice ☀️

It’s been a very busy few weeks trying to fit in as many jobs as possible before we take a well-earned summer holiday 😅🛠️

We are now fully booked until the beginning of September, but we have our diary with us and can still book in quotes or winter jobs while we’re away – just drop us a message.
