Working with such a great team makes every day at work enjoyable. Everyone supports one another, works hard, and creates a positive atmosphere that makes even the busiest days rewarding. It was also great to spend some time together outside of work, enjoying a delicious curry and good conversation. It was a fantastic opportunity to relax, have a laugh, and strengthen our team spirit. Moments like these remind us that a strong team is built not only through hard work but also through shared experiences and friendship.

At Pneumatic Solutions Ltd, we help businesses reduce energy costs and improve the efficiency of their compressed air systems through professional compressed air leak surveys. Using specialist equipment, we accurately identify hidden air leaks that often go unnoticed but can significantly increase energy consumption and operating costs. Once the survey is complete, we provide a detailed report along with a competitive quotation to repair the identified leaks, helping you recover lost energy and maximise system performance.

Reducing compressed air leaks not only lowers electricity costs but also improves equipment reliability, reduces unnecessary compressor run time, extends the life of your equipment, and supports your sustainability goals.

Don’t let compressed air leaks drain your profits. Contact Pneumatic Solutions Ltd today to arrange your air leak survey and discover how much your business could save. Get in touch for a no-obligation discussion and let us help you improve efficiency, reduce waste, and cut energy costs.

The UK this week is experiencing high ambient weather conditions therefore it is important you carry out servicing of your Air Compressors and equipment to minimise on costly breakdowns.

As summer arrives, air compressors face unique challenges caused by frequent shifts between cool and warm conditions. For operations relying on compressed air, it is critical to understand these effects and take steps to protect your system.

Heat directly impacts performance and reliability. Below is an overview of its effects and recommended solutions:

Impacts of Summer Conditions

• Reduced airflow: Higher temperatures lower air density, resulting in less air being drawn through the intake filter.

• Increased moisture: Warm air holds more water v***r, raising condensate levels. This makes efficient filtration and drying essential.

• Greater demand on drainage systems: Higher moisture means drains must operate more frequently and effectively.

• Shorter lubricant lifespan: A room temperature increase of just 25°C above normal operating levels can cut lubricant life by half.

• Accelerated corrosion: Moisture in black iron piping leads to rust, causing higher pressure drop and contamination downstream.

Recommended Protective Measures

• Improve ventilation: Proper airflow in the compressor room helps maintain stable temperatures and ensures efficient operation.

• Service air dryers in advance: Address rising humidity and moisture before the season begins to prevent water buildup in the system.

• Maintain filters and drains: Inspect, clean, or replace in-line filters and drain valves regularly—they work harder in warm weather.

• Clean heat exchangers: Keep air/oil coolers and dryer condensers free of dust and debris to preserve heat transfer efficiency.

Compressed Air Quality within the Food & Beverage Industry - Is your site meeting the current standard?

Compressed air in food production requires rigorous treatment to remove oil, moisture, and particulates. Because air can often contact products directly, contamination can cause spoilage, costly recalls, or non-compliance within the British Retail Consortium.

Maintaining safety standards like ISO 8573-1:2010 (typically Class 1:2:1) and utilizing oil-free compressors, relevant filtration and food-grade lubricants is essential for protecting product integrity.

A recent supply and installation of a Hi-Line desiccant dryer with carbon tower and filtration carried out by our installation team ensures this food and beverage manufacturer based in South Wales are meeting the required standards.

The install way is Essex!

Following a successful bid for pipework installation and an ongoing compressed air equipment hire agreement with a tiling manufacturer, our team completed a full installation in just four days. This included approximately 126 meters of 50mm PPS1 aluminium pipework with 15 outlets/drops, plus a 2000-litre galvanised air receiver, oil-water separator, hire compressor, and a refrigerant dryer fitted with pre and after filters.

Well done to our engineers Frazer & Morgan
