Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solar Panel Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Installer, you will lead and manage the installation of solar panel systems for both residential and commercial projects. You will play a critical role in overseeing teams, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance while delivering sustainable energy solutions to our clients. The majority of this role will be field based, primarily focused on installations. Additionally, the candidate will assist in the design process and ensure that all necessary components are available for each project. We are looking for someone who is eager to contribute to the company’s growth and evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the installation, wiring, and maintenance of solar panel systems.
Supervise a team of installers and coordinate project timelines and worksite safety.
Interpret solar designs and plans to ensure installations comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues on-site.
Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
Liaise with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction and clear communication.
Ensure all installations adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in solar panel installation.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in solar PV installation (e.g., MCS certification) are required. Solar PV ticket
Level 3 NVQ/ Testing inspection/ Part P / 18th edition
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, solar technologies, and best practices in solar installation.
Leadership: Proven experience leading teams and managing large-scale installation projects.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide quick, effective solutions.
Licenses: Full UK driving license is essential.
