What a night for Multax!

We’re proud to say we came away from the Test Valley Business Awards 2026 with both Corporate Business of the Year and the Innovation & Technology Award. Two for two! 🏆🏆

With our tenth anniversary only a couple of weeks away, winning both makes it an extra special one for everyone here. Ashley and John have poured a huge amount into building the business over the past ten years, and these awards are a nod to that, and to the whole team who push Multax forward every day.

Thank you to everyone across the business for your ideas, your skill and the way you back each other up. Thank you too, to Test Valley Borough Council, the judges, sponsors and organisers for a brilliant evening at Thruxton Circuit.

Congratulations to all the nominees, finalists and winners, it was a pleasure to celebrate alongside so many local businesses.

Tomorrow's the big one…

We're off to the Test Valley Business Awards, down the road at Thruxton Circuit, where Multax is a finalist in two categories: the Corporate Business Award and the Innovation & Technology Award.

To be counted among the region's best is a real honour for the whole team, and a nice reward for the work everyone puts in day in, day out.

We're looking forward to a great evening celebrating with our fellow finalists and the wider Test Valley business community.

A big well done to our apprentice Hamish, who’s just passed his Engineering Level 2 qualification!

It’s the reward for a lot of hard work, and for the way he keeps turning up, determined to do his best.

Formula 1 deadlines don’t move, so we don't either.

When a team needs a part, they need it right, and they need it on time. We hold ourselves to 100% on-time delivery and right-first-time components, and we’ve built the business around always hitting those targets.

It's not just one element that makes it work. It's the machines, the CAD/CAM software, the inspection equipment, the facilities. But the biggest reason we achieve it is the people running it, and a workshop where anyone can put their hand up the moment something doesn’t look right.

Machining complex parts to tight tolerances, you’re going to hit the odd problem. We’d rather hear about it early than find it later. Flag it, work out what happened, fix it, and tell everyone else what we learned so it doesn’t bite us again.

This is what the teams relying on us are really paying for.

As Multax hits its tenth year, being a finalist for the Corporate Business Award at the 2026 Test Valley Business Awards reflects everything our team puts in every day.

We’re producing complex precision components for Formula 1, automotive and medical customers, while holding ourselves to high standards of quality, reliability and doing business the right way.

Whilst we’re proud of the work, it’s the people we’re proudest of. We put a lot into apprenticeships and skills development; we back local engineering talent, and we work closely with our customers and suppliers to build relationships that stand the test of time.

We're delighted to have sponsored Team Nova alongside Ceratizit UK & IRE and be part of their incredible STEM Racing HQ journey. 🏎️

After two days of intense racing at the STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore, Team NOVA secured 3rd place out of 91 teams for the Fastest Car Award. What an incredible achievement on the world stage! 👏

The team has worked hard to design and manufacture their car independently, demonstrating creativity, determination, and teamwork every step of the way. We've been pleased to offer support when technical questions arose, but the achievement is truly theirs. 👏

We just want to say how proud we are to back this talented group. It’s inspiring to see young people developing practical engineering skills and gaining hands-on experience that will help shape their future careers.

We're growing again! This is an extra special one.

We're on the hunt for a CNC Wire EDM Department Lead to build our brand-new Wire Erosion department from the ground up.

It's a rare chance to take ownership of a whole department. You'll start out on our United Machining CUT F 350 Wire EDM machine, programming, setting and running it, then shape where the department goes next — including the processes, the standards, the people.

What you'll be doing 👇🏼
🔧 Setting, programming and operating Wire EDM machinery for precision components
🔧 Reading engineering drawings and technical specs
🔧 Building the department's SOPs, workflows and quality standards from scratch
🔧 Planning production around customer lead times
🔧 Training and developing new team members as we grow

Sound like you? 👇🏼
✔️ Proven hands-on experience setting, programming and operating Wire EDM/Wire Erosion kit
✔️ Confident reading drawings, tolerances and quality requirements
✔️ A natural problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail
✔️ Happy working independently and taking ownership
✔️ Keen to develop processes and bring others along with you

If you've led or supervised a department before, set up new processes, or worked in precision engineering or aerospace, that's a bonus

We are officially finalists in the Innovation & Technology Award at the 2026 TVBC Awards! 🎉

This reflects the work our team has put in to make complex components more reliably and efficiently.

A £2m investment in machinery and automation has helped us build a 24/7 lights-out manufacturing setup, while our engineers keep developing bespoke tooling and machining methods for demanding Formula 1 and medical projects.

It's paying off, too. It’s giving us better right-first-time quality, on-time delivery, and some strong growth along the way.

Big news… We've been named finalists in not one but two categories at the Test Valley Business Awards 2026! 🎉

The standard this year was seriously high, so to be shortlisted twice means a lot to everyone here. Here's what we're up for:

For the last ten years, we've been quietly getting on with precision engineering and CNC machining right here in Andover. It's lovely to see the hard work of our engineers, programmers and support staff getting a bit of recognition.

The Innovation & Technology nod is a credit to the team and the way they keep finding smarter ways to solve tricky jobs for our clients. And the Corporate Business shortlisting reflects how far we've come as a business.

Yesterday the Multax team headed to Andover College to join other local manufacturers for National Manufacturing Day — and what a good day it was.

We got to share our love of engineering with Year 9 & 10 students and the college students, giving them a proper look at what modern manufacturing involves and the kind of careers the industry can offer.

It was brilliant to see how engaged everyone was, with loads of great questions about what we get up to at Multax.

We were especially pleased to show off our Multax Apprenticeship Academy and the opportunities on offer for the next generation of engineers.

Fingers crossed we'll welcome some of these talented young people to the team down the line!

A big thank you to Andover College for hosting such a brilliant event, and to everyone who helped inspire tomorrow's engineers. 👏
