Anton Saws & Machinery is looking for a reliable and motivated Van Driver to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of machinery, saw blades, tooling, spare parts, and engineering equipment to customers across Hampshire and surrounding areas. You will play an important role in maintaining excellent customer service while ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect machinery, saw blades, spare parts, and tooling to and from customer sites.
- Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring goods are secure during transport.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet customer schedules.
- Complete delivery notes, collection paperwork, and obtain customer signatures.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Keep the company van clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
- Assist with warehouse duties, stock handling, and order preparation when required.
- Comply with all road traffic legislation, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Full UK driving license.
- Previous van driving or delivery experience preferred, but not essential.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential.
