Kinecx with Nature Volunteering – Ballymagowan Allotment Project 🍃

Last week our team from Kinecx Energy visited the Ballymagowan Allotment Project, a vibrant community garden in the Creggan Estate, Derry/Londonderry.

As part of our Kinecx with Nature initiative, our volunteers were delighted to get involved helping with weeding and general grounds maintenance to support healthy crop growth and enhance shared spaces.

This fantastic space includes individual and communal plots, polytunnels, raised beds, picnic areas and a dedicated wildlife zone. The allotment not only brings people together but also plays a vital role supplying fresh fruit and vegetables to the Foyle Foodbank and Apex Social Supermarket.

Our 'Kinecx with Nature' initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to biodiversity, sustainability and community engagement, we are proud to support projects that make such a meaningful local impact.

⚽Northern Ireland Utilities Cup 2026 – A Fantastic Day for a Great Cause⚽

Kinecx Energy was delighted to host the inaugural Northern Ireland Utilities Cup at Ballymena Showgrounds last Friday in support of Autism NI.

The tournament brought together organisations from across the utilities sector for a day filled with football, teamwork, networking, and fundraising. We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone involved, a total of £5,300 was raised for Autism NI.

Congratulations to Openreach who were crowned champions after a competitive day of football and some excellent performances throughout the day. Well done to McGaffin Mechanical who won the Utilities Cup Plate🏆

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participating teams, sponsors, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who donated. Your contribution helped make the event a tremendous success and will support the valuable work Autism NI does for autistic people and their families across Northern Ireland.

The day showcased the power of collaboration, community spirit, and what can be achieved when organisations come together to support a meaningful cause.

We were delighted to sponsor and attend the Ballymena Chamber AGM yesterday at the Tullyglass House Hotel & Residences.

The AGM included the Chief Executive’s Report from Tom WIGGINS, the election of President Peter Houston, Head of North Business Centre, Danske Bank, the re‑election of existing Management Committee members, and the appointment of new members. We also heard from Sarah Lacey, Nourish and Nurture; Jackie Reid, AEL and Jeremy Bryan, jtecit each sharing valuable insights into the important work they are doing across the region, alongside an engaging talk from Graham Fitzgerald, COO of the Irish FA, who shared plans for new facilities at Galgorm.

The Customer Engagement Manager will be responsible for leading the customer-facing teams including Customer Services and Energy Advisors (Sales) with responsibility for performance management, objective-setting, employee engagement and development and the consistent delivery of performance, quality, and customer interactions.

Yesterday our staff were treated to a Magical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, complete with surprises from the Easter Bunny 🐰🥚

It was wonderful to come together, enjoy some fun, and raise awareness and support for our charity partner Autism NI 💙
