Another day over the hill..

Couple of jobs done today

Including repair work to a snacker.

Refit a section of tin on a door.

Reattach and bridge with solid bar a drawbar for a bike trailer.

Cut off old stub axles on another bike trailer and weld on beefed up 6 stud hubs.

Use the best of 2 shear grabs to create a decent one, this job could have taken an hour, but seized pins in the rams, locking bolts snapping and needing to swap the brackets from one to the other, the job soon took up most of the day and still needs a few hours to finish.

I was working along side Phil Teasdale on Friday and I am going to say it's one of the worst weather days iv tried to weld outside. Electric shocks came with every arc up. Not fun 🤣🤣

Few jobs done on the beast of an excavator.makes a 13t machine look like a mini digger.

Then fitted safety mesh guards on the side of a conveyor belt, these were fabricated and painted by Phil.

Some amazing views tho while working.

Update from the customer that I fabricated the table base for.

This has turned out looking amazing.

Says it took 6 folk to carry in and it must weigh around the 250kg + mark..

That's some dining table.

29.5ft centre walkway for sheep race fabricated and fitted for a regular customer this week in-between other jobs.

Wanted it done yesterday so will be painted in the summer. 🤣🤣

A snowy few hrs in Alston today.

Flat tyre on a manitou to take off and refit after tyre changed.

A reconditioned hydraulic headstock cylinder refitted and piped up.

And euro brackets cut off of a snow plough and manitou brackets welded on, which is to be used to Push silage to the feed barrier.

The customer is also selling the euro brackets so get in touch.

A few of the jobs we have been busy with over the last week or so.

Rotten door bars cut out and replaced

Snacker repairs.

Seed drill repairs after being bent.

Tractor steps straightened and welded up.

Feed tower intake pipe sorted after it burst the flexi pipe.

Feed barrier made to swing to allow easier access and custom catchs fabricated and fitted.

Another job completed.
A customer had seen a polished concrete table that he liked.. But not the price tag. With his skills he has decided to create the polished top himself, but needed someone to fabricate the steel frame.
I was Tasked with the job and was sent just a photo of a finished table, couple of measurements and told to make it how I think would be suitable.

Roughly 12-13 metres of 100 x 100 x4mm box was used in the project.
1000mm wide x 2200mm long to take a 1200mm wide x 2400mm long polished top, allowing a 100mm overhang around the frame.
