Thrang at Oddendale

Stood at the inner cairn of a bronze age stone circle overlooking the quarry from where we get our quicklime.

Quite a modern (in comparison) 18th Century property.

Middleton……int’ Yorkshire Dales

FarmHouse 1700’s

Works here included the removal of an incorrect gypsum plaster. The walls dried naturally once able to breathe. These were then dubbed, scratched, devilled and skimmed using lime putty with horse hair.
Marrying into the original plaster which is still sound 200 years on. Nice to see original flagged floors, panelled doors, fire places and shutters.

Wonderful Warnell Hall

Grade II* 16th Century Fortified House.

Lime putty plaster repairs and the removal of an incorrect 90’s gypsum plaster. To be covered with a breathable paint.

Blease Hall

Grade II* 16th Century

Friezes, Oak pannels and a Dobbie stone hanging from the rafters!

Limecrete floor incorporating a new underfloor heating system, layed on foam glass with cork insulation around its perimeter.

Ormside Hall

A pleasure to be carrying out works on this Grade II* listed Hall with its 13 Century Pele tower and adjoining threshing barn.

The discovery of a Garderobe was worth all the dust!

Works are to include hot lime insulated plaster, lime putty plaster, lime pointing, foam glass insulation to the floors, lime parging, woolwood partitions and woodfibre insulation.
