🛠🛠Current job on our CNC Mill🛠🛠

We are coming to the end of the prototype journey with this client - this first off made from 6061. Aluminium is a befitting symbol of the work we have done so far!

Work complete:

🔧Strip and reverse engineer existing components

📐 Went through several design itterations with our client utilising our CAD software

⚙️ Utilise 3D printing for cheap, quick, minimal waste to produce physical renders of the chosen concept

🏍 Field test

🛠 Machine First Off metal prototype for final testing phase

Here is a recent Design and Make project for a client.

Our Client needed their rudder to be removable/replaceable from their assembly from the outside of their boat.

After some conversation to understand the performance requirements and the operational envelope we had to work in, the above design was created.

This was then 3D printed to offer a rapid prototype to check fitments - once these were confirmed, this assembly was then scheduled for machining!

This job is currently in WIP (you may have seen some posts that look similar to this CAD model 👀) stay tuned for the finished item!

This job is a perfect demonstration of what we do and strive for at ASP Engineering. Clear communication, customer focused, high quality.

🛠🛠 New machine inbound 🛠🛠

Who doesn't love a bit of retail therapy? 👀

Anyone who's used the Prototrak software knows just how powerful it can be and how much of a compliment it is to any workshop!

This 3 axis CNC mill will be getting installed over the next week, complimenting our existing workshop capability and offering our customers faster turnaround times on more complicated components.
