From Theory to Practice – A Real-World Engineering Win
A recent high back pressure reading on an Exhaust Gas Heat Exchanger called for swift action.
Our team got to work:
🔧 cleaned the tubes in situ on site with precision tools
🌀 Vacuumed them spotless for maximum efficiency
🧽 Cleaned the faces, ready for fresh gaskets
Refit and handed to client for testing

The highlight? Welcoming Josh, a Mechanical Engineering student, into the process. On his university break, he took the initiative to join us and gain practical, hands-on skills to complement his academic studies. His energy, curiosity, and willingness to get involved made a real difference on the job.

Recently, our team removed this turbo for its planned overhaul, giving it the attention it deserves to maintain peak efficiency. Once the refurbishment was complete, PME handled the lift and placement with expert precision, setting the stage for a smooth reinstallation.

MTU Alternator Removal

Our PM ENGINEERING (KENT) LIMITED team recently completed the removal of an MTU alternator from a power station in Portsmouth for overhaul.
The work involved careful planning, safe lifting operations, and coordination with site staff to ensure the process was completed efficiently and safely.

30 ducks. 2 months. Zero clues



Over the last two months, tiny yellow ducks kept appearing in our engineering workshop and office. Hidden in plain sight or amongst nuts and bolts. In desks, drawers, beside light switches, even inside vehicles.
Today on April Fools Day the truth is out:
It was all part of a secret mission to spark curiosity, laughter and connection.
Turns out the best engineering projects aren’t always on sites - sometimes they’re in the moments that make us laugh together.
