Here is an Indian sandstone we completed a little while back, autumn brown coloured slabs.
We pulled the old patio up, disposed off and installed a new base with geo membrane underneath. We also installed a new planter boarder in the middle, replaced a load of edgings, repointed all boundary walls and edgings.
Then once the patio was laid the pointing was done traditionally in a sharp sand based mix.

Here is a chimney build we are doing in sissinghurst.
So we took down the old chimney as it was defective due to no footing or attached to the original building properly.
So we have taken down the old, installed a new footing then reinstalled the chimney, also we have installed new ply glued and screwed and tyveked ready for weather boarding. We have put galvanised straps at first floor level and ceiling height, also installed timber frame ties and wall starters to help tie in one to another. We have also put new structural timbers within the existing timber frame to make sure the chimney ties according to this listed property.
This is still underway so keep an eye out for updates progress. Once the chimney is complete we will install new weather boarding to finish off.

Here’s a small renovation we have done in Hythe.
A two bed bungalow that we stripped out and put back to a one bedroom, the kitchen and bathroom stripped back to the bare walls, then damp proofed it all, plaster board and plastered then new bathroom and kitchen. The rest of the house were re-decorated with Matt white paint and white gloss work all on the doors, skirting, architraves, new carpets and vinyl floors.Given this place a new lease of life and was on a rather sharp deadline, as the last stroke of paint was put on the tenants where moving in.
We will be managing this property for the future, but was nice to do something a little different and outside our remit. Still some snagging bits to do. Thank you to all the trades involved.

Sorry we have been quiet on the socials, we have been busy within business also a lot going on in our personal side of things.

So here is a job we done a little while back.
A customer came to us to undertake some repointing to the front of this listed property, also the chimney was looking in a bad state, also an outbuilding with some damp issues.
So we instructed one of our teams to take down the top half of the chimney and rebuilt it using traditional materials to put it back to its original state. Then we ground out the front of the property and installed a traditional lime mortar using traditional methods. It’s always nice working with listed properties as it puts our stamp on it for many years to come.

So the outbuilding that had some damp ingress issues, we stripped the walls back to the original brick skin and tanked the inside. Then we rebuilt the inside skin and board over.
I didn’t get any pictures of this undertaken. But we will be going back in some later months to put a French drain around the outside of the outbuilding due to it being sunken down into the ground for belts and braces, so I will update then.

We can undertake simple or complex tasks including damp issues. So please do get in touch. We love a challenge!

Here is a structural job we done in Maidstone.
The original rc wall foundation was failing causing the original wall to heave.
So our team took down the original brick wall, ripped out the rc foundation.
Then installed a new rc foundation with l bars in a h block wall for retaining strength.
Then installed a single skin block wall on top.
We also installed new aco channels and pulled up and relayed the customers path due to structural works.

Here is a porch that we done a refresh before Xmas.
So the roof was in poor condition so we had a new tiled roof, lead work and muck work all installed.
The porch was coming away from the house, not by subsistence, but it was not tied into the original property. So we toothed out the brickwork either side and run firsfix ties up the original and tied back into the blockwork, then bricked it all back in.
This provides structural integrity within the porch again.
Then made good all inside for client to paint.

Here are some manholes that were done at The Caldecott Foundation
These were a health and safety issue due to them being collapsed, which could lead too children falling down or hurting themselves.
So we was instructed to clean out, rebuild then install new frames and covers on these four manholes.
