Project update | Barnham Station. 🚄

We’ve been on site since March upgrading the canopy roof across all four platforms, and here’s where things stand.

The old roof is off.

All roof sheets removed across Platforms 1–4, 90% of the guttering out, and the steel underneath jet washed and being prepped for repairs and a brand new roof system.

🚆 Behind the scenes: we’ve installed a custom scaffold over Platforms 3 & 4, laid an EPDM membrane to keep the platform building watertight, and put in temporary ceiling props so the station never skipped a beat for passengers.
New gutters, new roof, new Plaziax panels bringing natural light back in.

Supporting Life-Saving Work Through the Walker Construction Trust.

Every grant has the potential to create a meaningful impact.

We were honoured to support The Oliver Steeper Foundation, a remarkable charity founded by Lewis and Zoe Steeper in memory of their son Oliver. Following their unimaginable loss, they have dedicated themselves to protecting other children by providing free LifeVac systems and training to childcare settings across Kent.

To date, the foundation has donated hundreds of LifeVac kits, helping to protect thousands of lives and providing vital reassurance to families, nurseries, and childcare professionals.

If you’re working on a project or supporting a cause that could benefit from funding, we encourage you to apply for a grant through the Walker Construction Trust. We want to help initiatives that make a real difference in our communities.

⛳ Walker Construction Charity Trust Golf Day 2026 ⛳

Last Thursday, we were delighted to welcome our clients, suppliers, work partners and the Walker Construction team to our annual Charity Trust Golf Day.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored a hole, donated raffle prizes or supported the event in any way. Special thanks to PG Site Services for sponsoring the day and TechPave Group Ltd for sponsoring our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.

Although the hole-in-one prize remained unclaimed this year, we’re already looking forward to seeing if next year’s golfers can change that!

Thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity, we raised just over £10,000 for the Walker Construction Charity Trust. An amazing achievement that wouldn’t have been possible without your support.

One Friday. Three volunteers. One school that now has something it didn’t have before. 🤗

A team who showed up because they wanted to.

We built a timber frame shelter at East Langdon Primary. Cleared the waste, did the work, and handed over at no cost to the school.

We talk a lot in business about impact and legacy. About doing the right thing. But the reality is that it’s as simple as just being there for community when they need it. 👍
