During the week, our Founder and Managing Director spent time on an extremely exciting project in conjunction with

While on site, surveys and schedules were taken for various contributions to the restoration of a listed building of historical importance in the Greater Manchester area.

Alongside surveys, time and care was spent with others on enabling works involving timber elements to the structure and on this beautiful example of original joinery that dates back to 1872.

Chemically and manually removing decades of ignorance by way of paint, revealed some gorgeous characterful English Oak and allowed it to once again freely breath before further restoration and finishing. These works also allowed the freeing up of the original ironwork and lead sashes which now operate as they were originally designed to.

We really stepped up to this one...

As part of a commercial redevelopment in Dartford, a replacent staircase between ground and first floor was required to be compliant with regs for tenancy with layout redesigned to maximise floorspace on both levels.

Using 32mm thick Engineered joinery grade softwood for the strings, treads and quarter landing deck, combined with MDF for the risers we have provided a very budget friendly option ready for decoration and a hard-wearing carpet covering.

Another busy week in the workshop now drawn to a close with this great example of a Breakfront inspired library unit, featuring clean and functional lines giving architectural permanence without the need for intricate detailing.

The upper left of the shelving is left without a back panel to allow for the M&E instalation of a split system air conditioning unit as part of a green and eco friendly renovation to the property.

Left in its raw state, the Hydrofugo MDF carcassing and Tulipwood framed shaker doors are disassembled and prepared for transport to site for installation next week!

When two become one.

A private client made an enquiry to survey their porch entrance way doors as they claimed they were looking shabby but would probably just need some tlc.

It was tlc alright.... total lost cause.

As you can see, there was physically nothing integral left and we set to a conversation on the spot of what they would like to see in place... A single, solid but elegant, country style door in frame. This lady had vision, this lady had style.... we just made it real.

With Idigbo as the hardwood of choice, the joinery was traditionally manufactured and finished in Silver Grey Osmo Oil stain, accompanied by heritage style black ironmongery and a black mirror tinted double glazed vision panel.

Beautifully executed.
