“……..We completed our new build in February 2025 having started construction on site in May 2024. We are absolutely delighted with the end result and will detail some of the key factors below:

• Having agreed the specifications and price we were provided with a detailed spreadsheet showing all costs and sums allowed. We were also given a timeline with expected dates through to completion.

• We had the inevitable odd change during the construction with prices discussed and agreed and the costing altered and spreadsheet reissued to confirm.

• We had a monthly progress meeting which was invaluable keeping both sides fully informed.

• Site Manager - having a senior site manager responsible for the build programme from day one through to completion was very important. This made contact with both SGC and subcontractors very straightforward. It also gave continuity to the build programme and provided exceptional quality control.

• Sub Contractors - the various subcontractors involved all worked to very high standards both in quality and presentation of their work.

• Site - we were complimented on numerous occasions about the housekeeping on site.

• Specification - we took SGC’s advice on various parts of the build project, e.g doors, flooring, plumbing and used their recommended suppliers who obviously held SGC in very high regard. This made choosing the various products a very simple process and ensured the right balance between quality and value.

• A Year On - having now been in the house for 11 months we are delighted with the the end result, the quality and workmanship is of the highest standards. We have had virtually no snagging (a couple of faulty lights, a socket and an alteration to a door handle).

To finish, if any future client of SGC would like to visit and see first-hand the completed job, they would be made very welcome. We understand that reassurance on a build project like this is very important and would commend SGC without

“………My wife & I purchased a property in Gleneagles Village in June 2024. We bought the property to make it our home once we retire from work in London. As we have done with previous homes, we wanted to personalise it to our style and taste, both inside and outside.

“……Stephen Gardiner Construction was recommended to us by our architect, and from our initial meeting we were impressed by their professionalism, clarity, and structured approach.

They took the time to understand our requirements and clearly explained their role and process, giving us confidence from the outset.

SGC managed our entire build, coordinating all trades and suppliers on our behalf. A dedicated fulltime Project Manager was appointed as our primary contact, ensuring consistent communication and providing clear explanations of progress and upcoming decisions throughout the project.

A detailed programme was agreed at the start, including timelines for construction milestones and decision deadlines. Monthly on-site meetings allowed us to review progress, discuss forthcoming
stages, and ensure alignment at every step.

The project was delivered to the agreed timeframe and budget, with variations only occurring where we chose to amend or enhance our specifications. “…..We used Stephen Gardiner to build our new house as my parents had used them many years ago and said they were the only builders to use.

I totally agree with this having had a great experience building our dream home. The project was on time, on budget and felt like we were all working together throughout this.

The service was superb and I still miss our weekly meetings on-site. Attention to detail, flexible, experienced, calm, confident and professional are some of the words that spring to mind. The
