A nice indoor job for us today waiting for the rain to pass before we can get back out bricklaying!

We installed a steel RSJ, removed the old dividing wall, and finished the space with fresh plasterboard and plaster; opening the room right up for its new kitchen and flooring.

We’re excited to share a sneak peek of one of our latest full-property renovations — a top‑to‑bottom modernisation bringing this home straight into the 21st century.

There are still a few finishing touches to go, but we’re nearly ready to hand the homeowners the dream space they’ve been waiting for.

We’ve opened up the entire downstairs by removing walls, installing a steel RSJ, blocking old doorways and creating one huge, free‑flowing kitchen–diner–lounge. The lounge is prepped for a fire‑rated pocket door, the utility has been reconfigured with hidden pipework, and every inch has been rethought for space and flow.

Upstairs, we stripped out the old en suite, removed the SVP, repaired the roof, rebuilt walls, created new doorways and transformed the former box room into a bespoke en suite and dressing room complete with custom pocket door and new windows. The main bathroom has been fully rebuilt with a new shower enclosure using impermeable cement boards & tanked before tiling. Vanity, towel rail and toilet fully installed.

New staircase, new door frames, flipped openings, fresh plaster throughout, new radiators and pipework, brickwork changes, layout improvements — this home has had the full Florriet treatment from top to bottom.

Once the electrician finishes up, we’ll share the final reveal. It’s going to be a beauty.

Extension built by my team and I in Berryfields.

First project of 2026 almost completed!

Back in a few weeks to create a new patio to tie in with the new build along with a new Durapanel fence around perimeter.

We opened up the kitchen area and fitted a new copper leaf kitchen design with large archway. Sink relocated under bay window to maximise space and make use of natural light.

We then built the exterior structure and had these beautiful infinity step bi fold doors installed.

Rear wall then came out and steel RSJ was placed to support the rear of the property. This was clad in fire resistant plasterboard then plastered throughout.

Radiators relocated, new skirting boards and floor fitted across whole area.

Multiple down lights installed to ensure this new huge living room is well lit at any time of day!

Another stunning transformation completed by my team and I for one of our repeat clients in Broughton.

Out with the old dated timber decking and outbuilding. In with beautiful new Indian sandstone paving, new shed and raised beds.

Solid concrete slab at bottom of the garden. Raised concrete base under new shed to ensure everything stays dry and shed can be bolted into the ground.

New raised beds fully lined inside with waterproofing membrane and drainage points. W**d suppression membrane added just underneath the stunning 20mm polar white decorative stones.

Soak away drainage installed to lower end of garden, new loam topsoil throughout and luscious new turf laid creating a perfect new lawn.

Footings dug out, infilled with concrete and solid concrete block retaining walls built, 20 tonnes of crushed concrete added, incorporating water outlets to provide a sustainable, fully strengthened sub base. New steps created, outer brick wall built to tie in with existing building, paving laid and french drain installed at house all underneath the damp course.
Finished off with these very modern chrome railings.

Paving running all the way to the front of the house with more stones added to really give this project a clean, modern, crisp look.

New gate fitted and washing line installed to finish off.

🏡✨ It’s been a busy few months at Florriet ✨🏡
We are proud to present this beautiful kitchen refurbishment, which we created in Stoke Mandeville
Check out the photos to see how we transformed the original layout into a spacious, light-filled hub of the home. 🍽️💡🥂

Firstly, on behalf of myself and my team at Florriet, I would like to thank Sal and Em for allowing us to bring this amazing project into fruition and for the copious amounts of tea, coffee and donuts 😀

I would also like to thank my team for working so hard and professionally and the trades that worked alongside us.

We started by removing the old kitchen, old connecting doors and supporting walls.
We then installed four upright columns, resin anchored to the existing foundations and new concrete pads.
Next we redesigned the waste water network for the first floor shower and WC.
Three steels beams were then bolted to the columns to support the existing floor.
Fireboard, plasterboard and new insulation was fitted throughout, including building a stud wall and closing off the living room.
New water feed pipes were installed by myself into the ceiling and wall voids to provide for new sink and dishwasher, washing machine and fridge in new utility area and new vertical radiators.
Old French doors and window were removed. Aperture created for new bifold doors and new window fitted on opposite side of wall with new brick wall built underneath.
New drainage laid for sink waste and rainwater run off.
Entire area was then plastered on the hottest week of the year😅
Bifolds were then installed leading out onto the beautiful new porcelain patio, with acco drains fitted around perimeter, covered in matching decorative stones- perfect for summer evenings, entertaining guests or simply enjoying the garden in style🪴🌼☀️

New pocket door fitted to utility room to maximise space.
Next we fitted this outstanding kitchen with handleless cupboards, spectacular central island and hidden integrated dishwasher.
Lastly we fitted the new anthracite vertical radiators to give this room a truly modern look for all the family to enjoy for many, many years to come.
