We’re looking for a HGV Driver / Yard Person to join our team at Fleck Metal Solutions.

This is a varied, hands-on role within our family-run company, combining HGV driving, HIAB deliveries and yard duties. You’ll be an important part of keeping materials moving, deliveries running smoothly and the yard organised.
The role
* Safely operate an 18T HGV with HIAB for local deliveries and UK mainland deliveries (once or twice a month).
* Load and unload goods safely, checking deliveries against documentation.
* Carry out routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
* Assist with yard duties, including organising storage areas and moving materials for production.
* Support loading and unloading operations.
* Ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
* Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records.
* Follow all company policies, road laws and health & safety requirements.
What we’re looking for:
* Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
* Previous experience as an HGV/delivery driver or yard person.
* HIAB experience preferred.
* Good knowledge of commercial vehicle regulations and safety standards.
* Comfortable with physical, hands-on yard work.
* Reliable, organised and safety-conscious.
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Flexibility when required for occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends.
Working hours
Monday–Thursday: 8am–5pm
Friday: 8am–2pm
The majority of the role will be based around these hours, with UK mainland deliveries required approximately once or twice a month.
