In Memory of Taylor

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the very sad news of the passing of our colleague and friend, Taylor Hill.

Taylor was a much-loved member of the Alternative Heat family. He was kind, funny, unassuming and simply a pleasure to be around. He had a quiet nature, but a wonderful sense of humour, and those who worked alongside him will remember the laughter and the good times shared with him.

Taylor made a lasting impression on so many people. He was a talented GAA player and had a passion for the things he loved, but to us, he was first and foremost a valued colleague and a friend. His absence will be felt deeply across our team.

Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences are with Taylor’s parents, Rory and Anna, his brothers Cathal, Conál and Ollie, and all of his wider family, friends and Clann na Banna teammates. We cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak they are experiencing. We hope, in some small way, that knowing how loved Taylor was, how highly regarded he was by those around him, and how many happy memories he leaves behind will bring them some comfort in the days ahead.

Rest easy, Taylor. You will always be remembered with great affection by everyone at Alternative Heat, we feel incredibly fortunate to have known you.

🏐 Interfirm GAA Blitz 2026

What a great day at Clann na Banna CLG for our second Interfirm GAA Blitz! 🙌

We were delighted to bring together teams from ASEE Group, EOS IT Solutions, and MJM Marine alongside teams from Alternative Heat and Kane Group for a day of football, friendly competition and plenty of craic!

More importantly, everyone came together for a common cause – supporting Air Ambulance Northern Ireland and Cancer Fund for Children, helping to raise funds and awareness for two fantastic charities. ❤️

A huge congratulations to, 𝗘𝗢𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 who were crowned our 2026 champions and took home the trophy! 🏆

A big thank you to all the companies who took part and to the volunteers, supporters and spectators who helped make the day such a success.

A huge congratulations to our Frankfurt team, who recently earned 'Contractor of the Month' recognition from one of our clients after delivering a run of complex, fast-paced projects. 🏆

From design and planning through to installation and delivery, the team kept quality at the heart of everything they did. Meeting demanding timescales while maintaining high standards takes commitment, teamwork and attention to detail, and this team demonstrated all three throughout.

A special mention goes to Contract Manager Johannes Marxen, whose leadership played an important role in the team's success.

This recognition is something the whole team should be incredibly proud of. Well done and thank you to everyone involved. We can't wait to see what the team achieves next. 👏

Following our Belfast City Marathon fundraising efforts, we were delighted to present a cheque for £1,420 to Air Ambulance Northern Ireland

A massive congratulations to everyone who took part, whether you tackled the full marathon or joined one of our relay teams. The determination, teamwork and support shown throughout the day was absolutely incredible.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared our fundraising page, cheered us on and supported the team every step of the way. Every contribution helps support a charity that provides life-saving care across Northern Ireland when every second counts.

🌍 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Lancaster City Council

As Principal Contractor, Alternative Heat is delivering a multi-site decarbonisation programme across Williamson Park, supporting Lancaster City Council's Climate Action Plan to achieve a net zero estate by 2030.

The project includes two of Lancaster's most iconic heritage buildings, the Grade I listed Ashton Memorial and the Grade II listed Butterfly House 🏛️🦋

We've just hit a major milestone on site - the successful installation of the new packaged plant room, a key part of the new low carbon heating infrastructure, supporting the transition of both buildings from gas to heat pump technology.

Huge credit to the project team for getting us here! Another step forward in supporting Lancaster City Council's ambition to reduce carbon emissions across its estate through the adoption of low carbon heating solutions.

𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹: 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. 🌱

We're proud to have completed decarbonisation works at Corby Pool, Corby Cube and Desborough Leisure Centre on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council.

These facilities are at the heart of their communities, providing leisure, cultural and public services to thousands of people every year. Delivering improvements across all three sites required careful planning and close collaboration to minimise disruption for visitors, staff and local residents throughout the works.

The completed project includes the installation of 3.825MW of Air Source Heat Pumps and 437kWp of Solar PV, alongside significant upgrades to heating, hot water and energy infrastructure.

The programme is expected to remove around 690 tonnes of carbon emissions every year, helping to make these important community facilities more sustainable for the future.

Part-funded through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS), delivered by Salix Finance, on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the project is another positive step towards reducing emissions and improving the long-term sustainability of public buildings.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life, from design and planning through to installation, commissioning and handover.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲. ⛳

There were plenty of drives down the middle, a few visits to the rough, and no shortage of laughs along the way. More importantly, it was another great opportunity for the team to get together, enjoy some healthy competition, and make a few more memories.

Proud to have sponsored St Malachy's High School Castlewellan Community U14 Girls' Gaelic Football and Camogie teams during their recent Ulster campaigns.
