🔥 Good news for oil heating customers! 🔥

While most annual heating costs in Great Britain have gone up, oil has actually become cheaper ⬇️

📊 According to the Sutherland Tables data (June 2024 vs. June 2025):
🏡 For a 3-bed house with an oil condensing boiler – costs are 10% lower (£1,319 → £1,186)
💷 That’s a saving of £133 per year!

In Northern Ireland, the trend is the same: oil, wood pellets, and heat pumps are down, while gas and electricity costs are rising. Oil alone has dropped by £137 (11%).

In the Republic of Ireland, oil heating costs are now significantly lower than wood pellets. Since June 2024, oil has been down £121 (7%). Heat pump heating has also become cheaper (–19% for radiator systems, –17% for underfloor systems).
