Today’s jobs consisted of fitting new Hives, three boiler services, replacing two showers, swapping some radiator valves and fixing a leak!

But the best bit… My apprentice Watson, he has zero qualifications, terrible attention span, but 10/10 for morale 🧡

Here are 2 boilers with very different ages.

The top photo is a Halstead Best 40, pretty commonly fitted around here in the 90’s. I’m not sure on the exact age of this one but there was a boiler service certificate with the manual from 1998!!

Still working pretty perfectly to be fair and a good hoover out plus all the normal safety checks meant this one can keep going for a bit longer.

The bottom photo is a much more commonly seen boiler nowadays. This is an Ideal Logic and is in 99% of new build houses for probably the last 8-10 years. I work on these nearly every single day so used to all of the little niggles.

I’ve known Layton since the day he was born, so I’m delighted I am now in a position where I can sponsor him playing for Brackley Rugby Club 1st XV.

The weather has certainly changed and Autumn is officially here 🍂 🍁

This means one thing… we are busy! Very busy in fact, that we currently have no appointments for boiler services until November!

We are purposefully leaving appointments for any emergencies or breakdowns, so no one will go without heating or hot water, but these appointments will take priority as we reach the colder months🧣❄️

If you are due a boiler service before the end of the year, please don’t hesitate to get in contact and we will book you in.

Is Summer finally here? Have you switched your heating off now you’ve seen the ☀️?

More importantly… is your boiler due a service?

We ask because it’s really common for people to see the sunshine, turn the heating off and think “I’ll leave the boiler service until winter, even though it’s due now!” Not realising that the service could actually prevent lots of issues as and when the heating is switched back on.

This lovely heat from the sun might disappear soon, but let us help keep your house warm and your water hot by looking after your boiler.
