Our best media unit yet?
We worked with the client to create their dream media unit, and there was a lot of technical detail behind it.
First was hiding the soil stack. We built the wall out flat and had it plastered so you’d never know it’s there.
Next, we matched the unit laminate to the sofa so they feel like a set, as if they were made together 🔥
Then came the arches with the floating shelves and LED lighting. We used a plug-and-play lighting system, which saved the client money. We also plastered in the LED track, so you see a clean line of warm light instead of the strip and its fixings. That’s what makes it look built in rather than bolted on. It’s all dimmable and remote controlled.
Finally, we hide the sockets behind the push-to-open cabinets, so there are no cables or plugs on show.
We organised the plasterer and electrician, so the client didn’t have to, and they had one point of contact from start to finish.
It’s still to be decorated, and we’ll share it again once it’s done 👀
