Excavator Operator – Environmental Engineering Projects
Location: Scotland (Aberdeenshire based, with some working away during the week from time to time)
Employment Type: Full-time
About CRC.scot
An environmental engineering company delivering a growing portfolio of technically challenging and rewarding projects. Due to a strong and increasing workload, we are looking for an experienced and responsible Excavator Operator to join our team.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is comfortable working independently, and has a positive, flexible attitude.
The Role
You will be working on a range of environmental engineering and rural based projects from River Restoration to Forest Roads to Paths and Trails, operating excavators safely and efficiently. Much of our work is reactive to site conditions, ground conditions, and weather, so plans can and do change. The successful candidate will be expected to adapt positively, think practically, and take responsibility for their work on site, often working unsupervised but well supported by management/clients. No two jobs at CRC.scot are the same, and this variety is something our long-term, successful staff genuinely value.
What We’re Looking For
An experienced and competent excavator operator, ideally with tilt rotator experience
Able to produce high standards of finish/grading/landscaping
Reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking responsibility on site
Positive and adaptable when plans change due to site or weather conditions
Able to work unsupervised and adjust approach as conditions develop
Open to new ideas and practical problem-solving
A good communicator with colleagues, supervisors, and clients
Respectful of the working environment and takes pride in caring for plant and equipment
Safety-conscious and professional at all times
What We Offer
A strong pipeline of varied and interesting environmental engineering and rural projects
Work where no two jobs are the same and adaptability is valued
Opportunities to develop skills, experience, and responsibility
A supportive working environment built on trust and accountability
The chance to grow your role and standing within CRC.scot
