Loading shovel operator

Job Description:
* Driving a loading shovel
* Loading lorries and customers
* Watering roads to decompress dust
* Feeding crusher/ screen
* General yard duties in less busy times

Licence/Certification:
* Plant operation (preferred)
* Driving Licence
* CPCS (preferred)

Criteria:
* Experience driving a shovel 2+ years (preferred)
* Hard working attitude
* Must be reliable and punctual

Desirable Criteria:
* Experience within the quarry industry and a general understanding of operations
* Mechanically minded would be an advantage

⭐️ Weighbridge Operator Vacancy ⭐️

We are looking for a full time weighbridge operator at our quarrying - Bridgend Quarry, King Edward

Duties include:-
- Operating weighbridge systems to accurately record incoming and outgoing vehicle weights
- Produce required documentation to drivers/customers
- Liase with transport office, drivers and site staff
- Accurate data entry and record keeping
- Dealing with incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Admin tasks

Requirements:-
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong IT skills for the operation of weighbridge software
- Good geographical knowledge of local and surrounding areas

This vacancy would suit an individual with previous office based experience ideally within a weighbridge or transport environment.

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to assist in various construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

* Operating 360 excavator, mobile crushing and screening plant safely and efficiently.
* Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any issues.
* Assisting with site operations, loading, and material movement.
* Carrying out basic machine checks and maintenance.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
* Working as part of a busy aggregates team.

Requirements

* Valid 360 excavator/plant operator licence (CPCS/NPORS preferred).
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience in a Quarry environment.
