🚧 Project Start Announcement | Ilfracombe Affordable Homes 🏘️

We’re pleased to share that Poltair Construction has officially commenced work on site in Ilfracombe, North Devon today.

This project will deliver 16 new affordable homes in partnership with Aster Homes, supporting much‑needed housing provision for the local community.

A huge well done to everyone involved in getting the scheme to this stage.
We’re looking forward to seeing progress on site and delivering high‑quality homes that will make a real difference to the town.

👷‍♀️ A Great Visit from Plymouth University Students!

We were pleased to welcome students from Plymouth University to Trevithick Manor Farm in Newquay — a development being delivered by Poltair Construction on behalf of Treveth who are delivering these homes for the local community of Newquay.

The students had the opportunity to explore a live construction site, learn more about the industry, and gain real insight into modern building techniques and project delivery.

Fantastic to support the next generation of construction professionals and help inspire future careers in the sector! 🏗️✨

🌟 Inspiring Future Careers at Newquay Tretherras Secondary School! 🌟

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the Careers Fayre at Newquay Tretherras Secondary School alongside Treveth. We were excited to show students that the Construction industry offers incredible opportunities for women as well as men, with a huge variety of roles both on‑site and off‑site.

We met so many polite, curious and inspiring students with fantastic aspirations for their futures. Some already had clear goals in mind, while others were still exploring their options — and that’s completely normal. We hope that through our conversations we helped open their eyes to the diverse and exciting career paths within construction.

And of course… Polty Bear stole the show! 🐻💙
Our mascot was an absolute hit with the students and brought plenty of smiles throughout the day.

A big thank you to Newquay Tretherras for hosting such a brilliant event, and to all the students who took the time to chat to us. We loved every minute!

🎄 Celebrating Creativity and Community in Newquay! 🎄

Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting The Bishops Church of England Primary School, where the children amazed us with their creativity in our Christmas colouring competition! 🖍✨

A huge congratulations to our winner and runner-up, and a big thank you to everyone who took part. Their fantastic artwork is now proudly displayed on Morrisons’ board in Newquay—just up the road from Trevithick Manor Farm, a development of 96 homes we are building on behalf of Treveth.

This scheme is all about creating quality homes for local people, and we’re proud to see the community spirit shining through!

Today we delivered our gifts to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Donation Appeal, supporting families in Newquay and the surrounding areas.

A huge shoutout to the incredible team at the Salvation Army who work tirelessly to sort and bag every donated gift – making sure Christmas is special for those who need it most. ❤️

🎁 Spreading Joy This Christmas in Newquay 🎄

This year, we’re proud to support the Salvation Army with their Christmas Present Appeal, this is for children and families in Newquay and the surrounding areas who may find it difficult to afford Christmas presents.

We’ll be donating unwrapped toys, games, and gifts to help bring smiles to children’s faces.

There is a particular need for gifts for ages 9+ and teenagers, so any contributions in that range would be especially appreciated, or any age for that matter.

We’ll be delivering the donations in Newquay on Tuesday, 6th December.

If you’re a local business and would like to get involved in this amazing cause, please send me a message—we’d be happy to arrange collection.

We have had the pleasure of having Mia with us this week, a Year 10 Work Experience student from Ilfracombe Academy this week.
Mia has joined each of our Departments including a site visit to Trevithick Manor Farm in Newquay which are building on behalf of
She also visited Newquay Methodist Church which we are currently building and our completed site of Affordable homes in Padstow.
Our passion is to encourage young people to want to work in this industry and hopefully we have inspired Mia to want to do so.
