We believe it came from our workshop! 😉

Previous work includes floodlight enclosures for stadiums and lighting solutions for warehousing applications.

Ten years ago, this customer was looking for greater reliability, consistency and confidence in their sheet metal supply chain - and that’s where the SWF team came in.

A decade later, we’re still manufacturing high-quality components for them, delivering the repeatability, lead times and production support their operation relies on.

Sealing the deal over in assembly. 👌

The final touches are being applied to this unit before it’s packed up and sent out to the customer.

Once parts move through fabrication and finishing, our in-house assembly team brings everything together to make sure each unit leaves us fully prepared for installation and use.

Keeping assembly under one roof helps us maintain consistent quality, reduce lead times and keep projects moving smoothly from start to finish.

And that’s a wrap on Subcon 2026. 👏

We've had a brilliant few days in Birmingham - catching up with customers, meeting new faces and having some great conversations with engineers, buyers and decision-makers from across the industry.

Events like these are a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work we do, and the types of challenges we solve on a daily basis.

It's not long until Subcon 2026 gets underway!

Next week, the team will be heading up to Birmingham - ready to talk all things metalwork, fabrication and subcontract engineering.

We’re really looking forward to exhibiting at the event, which bringing together buyers, suppliers and specialist engineering companies from across the industry, and showing them what we can do!

A couple of weeks ago, we gave a small glimpse into what the team had been working on. 👀

Now it’s time to show the finished result!

Manufactured entirely in-house, these fabricated assemblies were produced for a company delivering workplace recycling solutions across offices, hospitality environments and e-commerce distribution centres.

From precision bending and fabrication through to welding, powder coating and final assembly, every stage of the process was completed by the SWF team under one roof. Keeping production in-house allows for tighter quality control, improved traceability and consistent results from first operation to final build.

A great project to be part of, and a brilliant effort from everyone involved. 👏

Hands-on quality checks are underway on this formed component, with every bend angle carefully measured and verified to ensure full compliance with specification.

It’s a step that might look simple on the surface, but precision at this stage is critical. Accurate forming helps eliminate downstream fitting issues, reduces unnecessary rework and keeps production moving without costly delays or downtime.

In metal fabrication, consistency matters just as much as capability - and maintaining tight tolerances throughout the process is simply part of how we work. ✔️
